i really wouldnt be bothered if we didnt get maddison.

I'd prefer to build a new young team who are going to be more receptive to ange's methods. Maddison turning 27 in november and who very often misses a chunk of the season with a reaccuring knee and hip injuries trying to aggrisively press sounds like a bad fit

This is from the telegraph. Sounds like newcastle don’t want to spend all their budget on maddison.

As revealed by Telegraph Sport at the start of May, Leicester City’s James Maddison is at the top of Newcastle’s wanted list and a deal is slowly progressing for the England international. However, claims that Newcastle are the clear front runners for his signature are premature and they still face a battle to agree a fee with Leicester for the 26-year-old.
The recently-relegated Championship club have asked for as much as £60 million for Maddison and Newcastle are not willing to offer that much as they look to spread their budget as far as it will go. Some supporters may well be alarmed by the thought of limited numbers arriving given the initial plan was to sign four or five players in this window, but quality over quantity is the new mantra.

Now its Amrabat again. lol. Was gash against West Ham the other night.

What next? Leandro fucking Damiao?
His stock has risen dramatically since we were last in for him, but he's still a bang average player who isn't the sort of midfielder the squad needs.

Think he could be a very decent Prem #6. Can run for days, positioning smart and dribbles through pressure well.

Depends on what the price is and if we can shift someone like Hojberg.

Not for me, just another medium quality player.

We need to have our sights set on better unless we want to be battling the likes of Villa for the foreseeable future for a conference spot

It's so clearly agent and club driven from Leicester's perspective.

Why would Spurs and Newcastle get themselves into a bidding war for a relegated England international at the start of the window?

Makes NO sense. Maddison will move this summer, he needs it, Leicester need it. The longer the summer goes, the more the price comes down. We will know that, so will Newcastle.

Maddison wants to move to Spurs if Spurs want him and we are prepared to pay a reasonable fee we get him. Its about (as ever) you no who.....
