Newcastle's owners are worth about 1 trillion pound. Let that sink in.
The only reason anyone is turning them down over us is to get a regular starting birth.
They will topple City soon. Wouldn't be surprised if the hardest working GOAT coach Pep ends up there.

You know fully well, even without Newcastle, we would argue over the price, then realise he wants top wages, and then end up signing a player from the D list in the hope he's a hit.
And he won't be.

Maddison's fundamental wage demands won't be that big... If we don't sign him it won't be because he doesn't fit our wages structure.

It'd be either:

- The rumours are no more than that and Ange didn't want him.
- He wanted CL.
- NC offering him ridiculous money.

Please stop ruining what should a fun and stupid transfer gossip thread with shit about levy and the Saudis there’s an ENIC thread for that.

Raya is great, I hope a team in France wants Lloris?

Finding buyers will be tough for us. Some of these lads (Reguilon/Ndombele/Lo Celso) are on pretty decent wages I think..
Think we will announce that he's been released once we sign a new goalie

So I'm hearing that Maddison prefers Newcastle. We are now a less attractive proposition to the fucking barcodes.... Well done ENIC.

And we are still fannying about with the Reya move. Haggling over a few quid as fucking usual.

Are the ENIC shaggers ever going to wake up??
Ah yes, the good ole "haggling over a few quid" punchline. Let's pay an extra £10-15m for a player that should go for £25-30m. And then when we don't get a quality CB, because the valuation is £10-15m apart, let's act surprised and blame the club that the deal fell apart.

I’d argue we had an opportunity to do more than stay there.

If the club had the fucking minerals to invest in the players Poch needed to improve his squad, who knows where we could have been moving into the new stadium.

“Staying there” is actually a very good proxy for what ENIC see as an acceptable level of ambition and is one of the reasons they don’t really understand that they own a football club, not just a football business.

Anyway, it’s fucking boring. Postecoglou looks like the kind of coach who could get them the opportunity again. Let’s hope they have learned the lesson.
The problem was that Poch thought he needed lo Celso and N'dombele. We could have used a couple of club signings then. The biggest problem seems like neither the club nor Poch knew what players he needed.
