You really believe he does?Ange loves Gallagher apparently, let's see how quick those who want the club to back Ange actually back this decision...
If this summer would most likely hear about it by now.I still have this feeling that ENIC will sell up when Kane goes.
Sell him for £100m, but it’d cost £150m+ to replace him and everything else he does. Plus the gamble of having to hope it pays off.
One last season of hoping we win something, an Carabao Cup, FA Cup… just to say they had. Then sell up.
I could be miles off, but with all the gossip about talks with Saudi and Qatar, it just seems a possibility.
And how did Coutinho turn out for Barca? Or Keita turn out for Liverpool? Or Pepe for Woolwich? The point is that spending 100 million on a player does not always guarantee success. Even if it is a very established player. PSG bought Neymar and Mbappe for crazy amounts and brought in Messi on huge wages. The purpose being to win the CL. Yet, even though these players performed at levels commensurate with their fees, PSG still haven't managed to win the CL and have gotten to exactly the same number of finals as us.
As for the Bale money, we did get a 100 million player in Eriksen (the fact we didn't sell him at his peak, is a different story), some serviceable players in Chadli, Capoue, and Lamela, and a few duds in Paulinho, Chiriches, and Soldado. Interestingly enough, Soldado was considered the big signing at the time. His fee was the equivalent of 60m in today's money. Yet he flopped completely.
Which goes back to the point we have all be harping about, both the "Levy out" and the "I'm fine with Levy" brigades: it's not about how much you pay, it's how good you are at identifying the right players regardless of the price. Something that no team in the world has a 100% hit rate on, with us probably being among the worst.
DONT WANT TO DO A LEEDS
A 100M asset has zero bearing on a 5BN nest egg from these speculative chancersI still have this feeling that ENIC will sell up when Kane goes.

£30m for Winks, £40m for PEH, £40m for Dier and £90m for Rodon and we would break evenSo that’s £40 million on Raya, £50 million on Maddison, £50 million on sancho, £30 odd million on Gallagher and £30 million on this chap. The window has only been open two days, and it’s looking like we’ll be linked with a billion quids worth of players before the window is up. It’s ridiculous the bullshit these people peddle.

I agree to an extent. We did go for expensive players, though, but have whiffed on pretty much all of them, so at this point I wouldn't be surprised if we were a bit gun shy to spend as much. Not to mention we would have a hard time attracting these players, even if we did pony up.Agree with that.
But where FSG wipe the floor with ENIC is their conviction and courage to really go after the right player, even if the price is north of 70m
Agree with that.

Scott and Ronnie Edwards would be the 2 players from the England u20s I would go forThe (admittedly little) bits I've seen of Scott have been very impressive. Also we know the championship is physical. I'm in for 30M
And no CB in the above lot.So that’s £40 million on Raya, £50 million on Maddison, £50 million on sancho, £30 odd million on Gallagher and £30 million on this chap. YupI think where they wipe the floor with ENIC is getting in the right people and recruitment structure to decide which players should be on the list.
I'll take your word for it here bud. Im not hugely up to speed on the intricacies of Ange-ball.Unless I'm mistaken, when we attack our FBs will cut in and act as DMs in order to allow the CMs and 3 FWDs to all bomb on into attack.
Doesn't really suit either Porro or Spence (I haven't seen anything other than clips of Udogie)..... 80m on makes-shift wingers isn't the best scenario to have found ourselves in, but we'll have to see what Ange has up his sleeve.
