Definitely in the mix for top 4 if we get the transfers right.

1 game per week is a big advantage and Newcastle/Brighton/Villa all new to being in Europe and not resting players.

Not sure Poch can repair that other mess as fast as they think.

Woolwich back in CL could also have a sneaky rough season with no depth up front

Top 6 is the basic level but 4th or even 3rd isn’t impossible.
Top,post, well said.

The players I've listed have just irked me so much for so long that I never want to see them in a Spurs shirt. That thought alone is making me sick of Spurs.
Towards the end of the Poch era, a weak mentality developed and it's just got worse and worse save for the run in during 21/22
Outside of those 14? games, we've been bottling big occasions, hiding when under pressure and the constant unforced errors are beyond comedy.

Yes, I know a lot of the players I listed haven't been on the pitch or have been out on loan. But I don't think our squad can move on with these cretins attached in any way shape or form to the club.
I forgot Rodon, Tanganga, Reguilon and probably Gil too.

Nothings ever gonna change if we have so many who contribute(d) so little
just get rid of the ones we cant sell rip their contracts up, we need to be ruthless.

even then we would want some stupid fee like 20m for winks or expecting 30 for ndombele

5th?

City
Woolwich
United
Liverpool

That’s the Top 4 favourites.

In terms of wage and transfer ambition, Chelsea 5th.

We should level at 6th with our other competitors scrapping it out in 2 competitions. At least for realistic expectations
We now have greater resources than Woolwich so we should be able to do better. And we did for 6 seasons in a row before this last one. But clearly right now we are in a difficult moment.

I think 5/6th is fine this season if we improve how we play.

We’re not going to win games early on in the season.

At a very basic level, everyone in the league knows how we’re going to play. We will play out from the back, without fail, and team will put us under constant pressure (as they have been, for the past two seasons).

The entire success of this new era is predicated upon the basis of our defense not shitting the bed.

I don’t think we are and I say that because I sense unrealistic expectations creeping back in.

We’ve heard it all before; Conte was going to introduce ‘patterns of play’ that turned us into a razor sharp outfit. Now we’ve got a relentlessly aggressive manager that wants us to play a high line and press the opposition from the very first whistle.

But I haven’t seen us press effectively since Poch left. And we still have the same manatees in defence flopping around and making mistakes.

Next season is not about a relaxed schedule or new manager. It’s about the squad finally being
overhauled and us getting good players in.

I’m not expecting anymore than 8th.

He did to begin with, but then seemingly binned them all off of the course of last summer.

Never a good thing in the history of this club!

Am im the only one feeling totally "meh" about the new season? I am just not feeling the wave of optimism that hiring Ange has created for some of you.

I'm sure once the first game rolls around, I'll have convinced myself that we can win the league. But right now...tough to muster up a semi. Sorry Ange.
That's probably because we have all been living in total misery for almost 5 years now!
It takes time to get out of a depression!

My depression is so deep that it can only be eased by seeing our deadwood being shown the door!

First of all the players that has cost us a lot of goals and points lately, Lloris, Dier, and maybe Sanchez!

Then the guys that are not good enough, Rodon, Tanganga, Lenglet, Winks etc.

When that is done, MAYBE i can force a little smile!
