£60m is too much given the totality of the circumstances. Similar to Brentford with Raya (but even worse considering there's no way Maddison will settle for staying another year while they're in the Championship).

That could buy some very very good CAMs in Europe.
Leicester can categorically fuck off at that price.

That’s getting close to Kane valuations.

Even Eze for 50m is younger and has more years at the top ahead of him for that money.

Maddison is 40m max. Ideally 35m

giving them a free run at Raya

which to be honest i could see that happening right at the end of the window when brentford realise no one is going to foolishly pay 40 mill so they end up offering him to united for half that or one of man u's cast offs
IIRC, That's exactly what happened with Bruno Fernandes, we walked away and Man U came much later with a lot lower fee and got him.

IMO, we should get the vicario deal over the line, and focus all our energy on the CB situation (Tapsoba, Tosin) and outgoings. Come back late in the window for Maddison, I'm sure they will soften their stance, especially if they see Brentford looking like mugs with the Raya situation.

The quality of our signings is almost inversely proportional to the price. Practically every one of our big money singings has been a flop.

I thought Son was £22M?

Only issue is we really need home grown players..

Gonna need Maddison to kick up a bit of a fuss to get his move if he really wants it

Leicester probably feel that if noone coughs up the 60 mill they are demanding then Maddison staying for a year more will help them get back into the PL. He can then walk away for free but they will be back in the top league and all the riches that entails.

That's why they are quite relaxed about the situation.

I would of thought they was quite in the shit financially and needing the money?

Portuguese speakers find Italian a very easy language to master.
