Let's face facts.

Levy won't back Flange Postmanpatintheloo. He'll receive a handful of bargain basement Championship level squad players and will be out of a job by Christmas.

Fuck Levy. Another season wasted.

Let me work the 5 out, Davies, who nobody rates. Sessegnon who nobody rates. Udogie who apparently is a great attacker bit not a great defender. I make that 3 but 3 with ? after them defensively. Are you counting Perisic who is a left winger who has been transformed to a left wingback. He did play left back against Spain though but Spain’s attacking prowess was very poor. Can’t think of number 5. As I say we need a defensive left back to balance out the attacking Udogie. Similar to Royal and Porto on the right.

Udogie is highly fancied...... We're not gonna kick him down the pecking order before he's played a single minute for us!

Davies
is perfectly adequate as #2.... Especially as he won't be required to fly up and down the wing all game.

We could sell Sess, Reg & Perisic and still have more pressing things to do in the trf window than buying a new LB just in case our new one bombs.

Also there’s Euro 2024. Maddison will not stay in the 2nd tier and risk losing his England squad place that he fought so hard to get.

He can be pissed off all he likes but as we have seen with Raya, and even here ith Kane, if the club doesn't want to sell or sell for less than they feel is fair value then no amount of tantrums will make a difference.

Yes with Maddison it's more likely Leicester will probably let him go much later in the window, but its no guarantee.

Reguilon ?

You've just gotta love the mental gymnastics going on in this thread.:D

This Vicario chap who nobody had heard of a couple of days ago. He is what he is, guys.
The Cheaper option. The Poundland alternative. Levy's Booby prize..... .whatever

Why try and convince yourselves otherwise :harrylol:
John, my man, I get where you're coming from, trust me I do. And yeah, knowing Levy & the gang, the truth probably is that we're mainly going after him cause he's cheaper than Raya.

But the kid is still a talent. I watch a fair bit of Serie A and after Maignan & Onana, he's my favorite keep to watch cause he's often spectacular.

None of us know how his Spurs career gonna go, and yeah, plenty reasons to be cautious...but on paper we could've defo picked worse.

Had we signed Lafont or Biljow, I'd have been pissed off. But I think that kid deserves a real chance. Heck, I'd rather he than friggin Pickford. If he turns out to be a bust, so be it.

I also think Brentford were being friggin ridiculous asking for 40mil for Raya. No way he's worth that, especially with a year left on his contract. So I'm fine with us not getting fleeced (again) and moving on.

So did Bayern. Inter were also after him as a possible replacement if they sold Onana this window.

The fact that the idiot doesn’t know who Vicario is and thinks he’s a cheap punt says more about his absolute lack of knowledge outside of the EPL (and maybe the top European teams) than anything about Vicario.

Yet to see anyone make a case that Raya is actually a better GK than Vicario.

The entire complaint is that he's more expensive so must be better.

Lafont is trash. Fiorentina fan here speaking.

This blokes weird, the more I watch him the more confused I become. I see good things and frankly some stuff straight out of that keeper Leeds have. I have concerns he could epically crash abs burn.

What do you see that's similar to the Leeds keeper?

Not a GK specialist. Just seen the stats, HLs and player reviews, then added in the fact he's 6'4" and meant to be an intimidating bastard and I'm sold.

Big time football analysis guy, you see.

Leicester probably feel that if noone coughs up the 60 mill they are demanding then Maddison staying for a year more will help them get back into the PL. He can then walk away for free but they will be back in the top league and all the riches that entails.

That's why they are quite relaxed about the situation.
Aren't they in a bit of a finacial pickle? Which must hurt them even more now in the championship.
