McGregor is Celtics 6 and Bissouma will play that role effortlessly.

Kulu can do the O'Riley role but I don't think we have the profile of Hatete in the squad to play the other central midfield position. Maybe Sarr and/or a fully fit Bentancur.

Maddison will surely play the advanced 8 as well as Kulu?

I feel like they try to sign Hatate and Jota because they will be cheap but i'd love to see what Sarr is like as an 8 in this system. Kid is an unreal talent that eats up ground.
Remember him coming on for Senegal vs England in the WC and thinking he looked like he could hang around with Bellingham in a year or 2.

Fucking Hell, I want Micky Van der Ven just for that pace! christ on a bike.. he can shift.

In fact, so far, he is the only player (in the context of team balance) that really makes me enthusiastic for the new season.

I do like the look of Vicario and, to some degree, the idea of Maddison.

I note that the source for our "mystery CB", Micky van de Ven, is Fabrizio Romano who, in addition to his tweet, also got a byline on a Grauniad article for his "scoop".

Romano says talks have taken place with VDV's agents, and identifies them as "team Raiola" in the tweet.

I suspect we can safely assume that Romano did not hack into our secret transfer list, and the most likely source of his info is the agents. (Or, just possibly, Paratici.)

Anyway, if "team Raiola" are happy for Romano to make our interest public, they are probably looking to move their client to the PL. When Raiola was alive, he was notorious for moving his players every couple of years and pocketing huge slices of transfers & signing fees. See eg Pogba.

I suspect we can sign VDV, but no deal involving "team Raiola" is cheap.

And we shall see if their MO is still to move players around every couple of seasons, often to the detriment of the club for whom they play.

So, at 24/25 we could expect Van de Ven to be reaching his peak and kicking up a fuss for a move to Real or City?

Didn't Romano say two new centre backs would be confirmed today when it comes to who we are interested in? He confirmed van de Ven, was there another announced?

i dont expect davies to play over udogie i got a feeling we promised him game time this season
Ffs davies can’t play in a four. Did you seem
V Brentford? He was licked so easily. He should be out the door. Been here long enough like davies really don’t add any value. Basically they stunting development of younger players. We need to braver with using our younger players as way making up the competitive abd financialm gap we have with other top teams. That is the only way we are gonna be at top table. Dippers do it really well and also sell on a few for good money.

My thinking was if there is an issue with Romero, who does tend to have a few games out. We would have to shift over tapsoba and bring in Lenglet.

Whereas Tosin seems relatively comfortable either side.

in all honesty whoever is the best right now is who we should sign. They all seem good options though.
Fuck the cheapo deal fir lengket. His 28/29 will wasnt decent wages. Just give that spot to our academy player forget his name,

Also which of them is going to agree to sit on the bench at spurs ? Or play out of position?

Unless we stick with 3 at the back in which case we do need 2.

We 100% need 2 CBs and we will get 2 Cbs IMO.

The question isn't the need for 2, the question is which 2 is the club prepared to invest in.

Pretty much any other Top 6 club would be trying to get 2 top class CBs but the reality of Spurs is that we won't.

Once you get over the difference between the other Top 6 owners and ENIC, then you open up to the idea of an attempt at a top class CB and a smart signing for the 2nd one.

If we could get Tapsoba for 45m, maaaaaybe they could get Tosin for 15m??

That would be a fucking great outcome for a Spurs window.

Based on previous, Tapsoba just feels like the expensive top target that we don't get this window.

Maddison looks set to be the 1 statement signing they want to make.

This kid would be my first choice, exceptionaly quick, strong on the air and can play with the ball.
Here comes the Wolfsburg experts 3 2 1....
Paramount Network Ryan GIF by Yellowstone

Dorrington.

Big future. Ange is apparently taking him along to pre-season. Hope he has a great one

Ok so based on that abd peopke have already said in what world is he not a better prospect than keeping dier, Sanchez, davies, roden and lenglet? Like I said in another post we have to brave and use the academy players. Him, the captain and Alfie surely need to be used in 1st team squad. They can’t be any worse than the shit players stinking out the place. Dippers, citeh, chavs, goons all do it. We could save millions and they could actually be better than players we buy for millions and on higher wages.

The entitlement came from expecting 2 at this price and quality.

expecting 80m+ on centrebacks is entitlement. Hoping for it is another thing.
