Maybe but he now has his trophies. If Rice comes along with Kovacic he is entirely dependant on covering injuries. He must realise this

Guardiola will probably play Rice at centre back partly too I would think.

If I were him I’d go to Man City. He might as well stay at West Ham as go to Woolwich. They’re both just making up the numbers until Man City are dealt with for their financial crimes.

His on the ball development should be his main concern & he will get a lot more of that at Woolwich than he will working under Moyes at West Ham. He's gone as far as he can as a player there. But then his on the ball game under Pep will develop far more than under Arteta, so...

Looks like City are trying for Rice. You’d still imagine Arse would have a chance after going for him for months but it’s on.

If Chelsea somehow manage to get €20m for RLC, I’m upping my valuations of our squad dreck. That’s an outrageous amount of money for him. And it’s the kind of money we should therefore be getting for Dier, Winks, Tanguy, etc.

What are they doing that we aren’t? And it’s got to be a more complex answer than “bald cunt” surely?

RLC is very athletic & has had a few good CL performances in the last 2-3 years which has probably caught the eye of some European teams. Believe he actually started vs Milan when Chelsea beat them, and played well.

Out of our lot, Ndombele would likely attract a fee if it wasn't for massive wages.

It's a tough one. On one hand, chance to work under Pep vs Pep lite. On the other, Rodri is incredible so good luck playing in your preferred position.

Yeh he is not getting ahead of Rodri that is for sure but the 8 role and Stones roll is maybe.

Surprised City haven’t been linked with De Jong. I rate Rice but De Jong for me has everything, he also seems like such a Pep player. A midfield of Rodri, De Jong and Kovacic and you’d never get the ball back.

Another one that was very good at the u20 world cup last month. Think he might have played against us last preseason when we played against the Team K-league

It's funny how I don't hear shouts of "shirt sales FC" when other clubs sign lads from these parts of the world.......

I wonder if TheFightingBee.com are ridiculing this signing right now? :sonhmm:

That Arse chose to make their interest so public off the bat will likely have little bearing between Rice and his agent........ Agent may well have had a nod that City would enter the fray sooner or later anyway.
