Does anyone else feel like we need a Dembele-esque player for our midfield? Someone with a really strong physical presence, whose press-resistant and won't get muscled off the ball?

I know we're going to be set up to play attacking, possession-based football, but that's not to say teams still won't try to pack the midfield and press us.

Skipp, Sarr, Bissouma and Bentancur are all good players and not exactly pushovers, but I'd still feel more comfortable having a literal brick wall in the middle of the park...

Maybe it's just me. Maybe, I actually have very little clue what I'm talking about. I'll go back to lurking.

Bissouma is probably the best chance we have of that. Though Bissouma probably swaps Dembele physical presence with actually being able to use a football well.

Why not 2? Would love one but not sure where to find one.

No of course he doesn't.
We have to wait about 5 years for income from the stadium, so we can buy players to win cups that the club and some fans don't care about.

This seems like a strange one. Boy has ability for sure, but not sure he fits the stereotypical Klopp format. Maybe he’s changing things up a bit, or he thinks he can use him as an 8?

I have no idea about him beyond a couple of international games/CL games but from what I've seen of Liverpool lately they appear to be trying to become more technical & more possession based. They've not really been the all action gegenpressers for a long while, so maybe a continuation of that transition, yeah..

And yet some in here praise them for how they are run, and would have us follow the same system.

La Liga is broke unless you're Barca or Madrid, so hard to pin it on being poorly run. Lot of clubs in the country seem to be suffering similar problems. Sevilla don't seem to have spent ridiculous money at any point, but the share of TV money which makes up the vast majority of PL revenue just isn't anywhere near as lucrative over there.

But still, as a Sevilla fan you've watched the club lift a whole bunch of trophies, financial issues can't take that away. Surprised this is all rearing its head now, so soon after the big Kounde transfer, winning the EL prize money & qualifying for the CL. Surely that's helped them out a lot?
