He's pretty much only end product and not much else. Which isn't a bad thing to a certain point.
Barnes has a lot of negatives, losing the ball a lot being a key one. But he's got end product, 14 & 16 g/a in the last two league seasons respectively.
If they sell ASM I could see it happening still. They need to beef out those attacking options a lot, it was their big let down last season with a LOT of underperforming in terms of creating vs scoring goals.
What I do find funny is Leverkusen paid 21 million for xhaka. I bet the Woolwich board are on their way to Miami to celebrate as we speak. Hes shit.
Stats are great but what about the eye test? He goes through on goal 5/6 times a game and hits it directly at the keeper.
Apparently exceeded xG in the league by 4 goals last season. Eye test for me with Barnes has always been that he's got a decent finish in him, in & around the box pretty reliable finding the corner. No Son, but not the least clinical wide player about.
I wouldn't have minded him as a squad option but think Solomon is the more dangerous active threat on the ball but won't offer the same goal threat.
