The boos might return if its Dier and he keeps cocking up like he has numerous times this season gone. Saying he was shite is an understatement. Sanchez took the brunt of it before and that wasn't a pleasant watch. Dier will be next in line with him moved on.
If he stays and is played then fingers' crossed he'll perform like he did during the 21/22 season where he was genuinely effective.
Despite regularly joking about his flaws, I don't actually want him to fail. I want him to do his job well and thwart opponents. It's just that I'm no longer convinced that he's consistent enough to be able to that and I'm a bit tired of watching him after all these years. I'd much prefer a fresh overhaul of the defense.
Get him out, a defender that doesn’t try and defend has no place and he’s sloppy on the ball. At least Sanchez tries to engage attackers and win the ball, Dier just backs away. Both awful players and capable of getting a team relegated

A team with 10 classy players and an Eric Dier used to get us near the top. A team with fewer good players and Eric Dier gets us 8th. A team full of 11 Eric Diers would get relagated.

Dier has, by all accounts, been a model professional.

Sanchez is completely shot. His confidence is gone. Dier ain't very good. Neither of them are ball players so that is a problem in Ange's system.
Lenglet is outrightly garbage. He came in as some sort of famed distributor but is in reality pretty limited, has no courage, is easily moved off the ball and lacks any sort of defensive awareness. He's one of the worst defensive players I have seen in a long time and if we sign him on a permanent deal then it will be only because Levy is still shopping at Poundland for players.
We need 2 new (quality) CB's, at a minimum we need one who is a ball player and can compliment Romero.
