Is that 2 goals up because we have Harry Kane though therefore with limited chances we've scored but overall probably didn't deserve to win the game?

Or is that we've dominated this team, scored 2 goals (probably should have scored 5), have 60% possession but the opponents have created 4 or 5 chances all game and scored 3 of them?

Because I do think there's a difference in how every Spurs fans would react in that situation. If it's the first, yes it will get old. It got old with Mourinho and it got old with Conte. We also couldn't seem to hold any lead under Pochettino in his final 12 months.

But the second one is just ridiculously unlucky.

Again, clarify.

Does the poster mean we dominate games, deserve to win but don't which apparently would get old (Not sure how?) - I don't remember many, if any, games like this last season.

Or does the poster mean we lose to teams like Luton at home, i.e we lose games that on paper we should win (Which yes, would get old) - I can name plenty.

That isn't really the point.

What games did we play last season where you thought we should have won, based on our overall performances, but we ended up losing?

And tell me if those were the games where you thought "ah, this is getting old now"

Is your reaction going to be the same if we in one game next season, we have 65% possession against a team, we are playing excellent football and we have upwards of 20 shots at goal, we are dominating them but a Tapsoba error means we end up losing the game 0-1.

Would you concede that it was unlucky and that over the course of the season, that sort of game and performance would yield more results than not, therefore not getting old?

I do believe that players from the top top leagues of European football can come in and succeed here if they have the right application and suit the system at hand. Doesn't matter if they're signed in May, June, July or August.

Tapsoba is a quick aggressive centre back with elite ball playing ability. All the things we need at centre back to succeed.

Yet the Tottenham ownership saw fit to hire him and he rewarded them by staving off relegation and winning a trophy in his short tenure.

And so what? Is that supposed to make me a Woolwich fan? You won’t find a single post of mine in support of them on this site or any other — unlike some of the Saka Fan Boys around here.
