Barca join Harry Kane pursuit with La Liga giants 'keen' on Bayern Munich target
Harry Kane could soon be making his way to the Tottenham Hotspur exit, but if he remains in north London this summer, the England star has the option of moving to Barcelona
Barcelona have entered the race for Harry Kane, but only when his contract expires next season.
Kane's current deal at Tottenham Hotspur will expire at the end of next season. The Englishman is yet to commit his future to Spurs, and Daniel Levy could be forced to sell the striker this summer to get some cash in return.
However, clubs are currently being pushed away from a deal due to the £100million Levy is demanding to even consider selling Kane. And so clubs, such as Barcelona, are ready to wait until his contract expires to make a move for the hitman, according to The Athletic.
Bayern Munich seem to be leading the race for the Englishman's signature, but they have already had two of their bids rejected by the Lilywhites.
The transfer saga recently heated up, with Bayern going public suggesting he wants to leave the club: "Kane has clearly signalled in all conversations that his decision stands – and if it stays, then we'll get him," Uli Hoeness told Sport1.
"He wants to play in Europe and luckily for us, Tottenham will not be next year. He now has another opportunity to come to a top club in Europe."
