Barcelona have entered the race for Harry Kane, but only when his contract expires next season.

Kane's current deal at Tottenham Hotspur will expire at the end of next season. The Englishman is yet to commit his future to Spurs, and Daniel Levy could be forced to sell the striker this summer to get some cash in return.

However, clubs are currently being pushed away from a deal due to the £100million Levy is demanding to even consider selling Kane. And so clubs, such as Barcelona, are ready to wait until his contract expires to make a move for the hitman, according to The Athletic.

Bayern Munich seem to be leading the race for the Englishman's signature, but they have already had two of their bids rejected by the Lilywhites.

The transfer saga recently heated up, with Bayern going public suggesting he wants to leave the club: "Kane has clearly signalled in all conversations that his decision stands – and if it stays, then we'll get him," Uli Hoeness told Sport1.

"He wants to play in Europe and luckily for us, Tottenham will not be next year. He now has another opportunity to come to a top club in Europe."

Difference is chavski have won trophies, they've won the CL in recent years and still have huge spending power to get into the top 4. We don't have spending power to get into the top 4, we've got Kane ready to leave and we have a new manager unproven at this level, in reality we're looking at not sinking down even further.
How's the new job going at the Samaritans switchboard btw?........🤷‍♂️

What about Gerrard, Lamps? Michael Owen won a Balon d’Or, surely he’d make a great manager, too.

Leadership is not measure by who can do the best flicks and tricks or score the most goals. It’s about communication and emotional intelligence.
I have never said great players = great managers.

My point was former great players have the privilege of never having to work their way up from the bottom like former average players.

I'm going by the results of last season.

Hojbjerg and Skipp are the only players in our squad capable of playing that 6 successfully behind Bissouma.

If we sell Hojbjerg, it's pointless getting Gallagher or Veiga in. Because they're both 8s. It'd also leave us ridiculously short because I don't think Skipp is cut out to start (good depth) and Bissouma is going AfCON in Jan.

I don't understand anyone who sees Bentancur as a 6.
Irony being I don’t consider PEH to be much of a 6 either; him and Bentancur are more alike (but Bentancur is superior).
Skipp is a 6 to me, but he hasn’t progressed… what about Sarr? Very raw but certainly has some no6 qualities.

Also I like Bissouma as more of an 8 as well.

Maybe bring in a Romeo Lavia as a pure 6 if PEH goes?

Managers like Mourinho and Klopp have to work their way up to a a level where they can command respect in a dressing room full world class players, Managers like Zidane don't have to.
Ok, so people can work their way up to suit your argument, whilst a paradox exists whereby that wouldn't happen because the best players never respect inferior players. Got it. Makes as much sense as the rest of this argument so let's skip off in our wildly different realms of reality and leave it there

Jamie O’Hara fears that Tottenham Hotspur do not have a plan to replace Harry Kane if the striker does end up leaving the club this summer.

Reports in Germany continue to indicate that Bayern Munich remain keen on snapping up Kane, with Florian Plettenberg even indicating a few days ago that some within the German club’s hierarchy believe the deal will be done in the next two or three weeks.

Meanwhile, updates over the last couple of days indicate that Paris Saint-Germain are also intent on competing with the Bundesliga giants for the England captain’s signature (Gianluca Di Marzio).

However, some British outlets continue to insist that Daniel Levy has not given Bayern, or any other club, encouragement to bid for Kane and that the Spurs chairman has not lost hope of tying the centre-forward down to a new deal (90 min).

Is there a plan for Harry Kane’s exit at Tottenham?
O’Hara fears that the 29-year-old departing late in the transfer window could leave Tottenham in taters, just like Dimitar Berbartov’s move to Manchester United did back in 2008.

Speaking about Berbatov’s switch to Old Trafford, the former Spurs midfielder told talkSPORT: “It absolutely killed us. Losing him was one of the biggest things that derailed us, and the manager ended up paying for it, he got sacked.

“We really struggled without Berbatov, and he obviously went to Man United. He kicked up a fuss, he wanted to leave, and he did, he got out. But it really affected the team. That is what I am worried about with Tottenham.

“If Harry Kane goes, what is the plan? How are you spending the money? Who are you bringing in? I look at it in a situation where Daniel Levy has been holding on to him for some time, desperate to keep him.

“He is a huge player in the team, and he keeps asking him to sign a new contract, if he does not sign it and we do let him go, I am worried where Spurs will end up.

“I don’t think we have a plan in place, that is the big worry for me. Without Kane, if you get rid of him, what is the plan? And Spurs haven’t got one.”

Spurs Web Opinion

It is obvious that Tottenham would have drafted contingency plans in case Kane departs but there is no reason for the club to make those plans public.

Levy should specify a clear deadline to Bayern on Kane as it would be next to impossible to secure a decent replacement if the transfer goes through in the final few weeks of the window.

I thought PEH had a decent showing as a 6 against West Ham the other day tbh. Don't think he's on the same level as Biss but good depth.

Skipp is definitely a 6 and I don't really want to see him play 8 again.

I think Sarr is better suited as a 8.

Maybe we may have a few in there who can swap and switch throughout the game.

Im absolutely amazed anyone can consider PEH to be a 6. Mental
