Once you tell bonaspurs & the likes. But you won’t which proves it’s false. Please don’t message me at all. That’s spamming this thread too. It’s meant to be about transfers. Not you following me around as always dying to get my attention.

I've sent them private DM's telling them to behave.

:nunothumb:

And I do love you Scott, tis why I apparently 'follow you around'.

Because a large selection of our fanbase are stupid fucking cunts.
So if we sign a CB and he’s shit, our fans are “stupid fucking cunts” for criticising the purchase?

Are you an actual idiot? No one in this forum is qualified to decide the merits of VDV or Tabsoba. No one.

Barely anyone has seen more than a handful of games and even if they had they’re not qualified scouts. It’s the job of the club to identity top end talent in positions of need that fit the manager and his style.

Our fans want a CB (or 2), they’re trusting the club to make the right purchase. If the transfer goes wrong, it’s every fans right to criticise the club for that, particularly with our recent record of big budget signings that show a track record of getting this wrong.

Anything less than £42m and we've made a loss on him, and that's not even considering wages...

Feel free to call me old fashioned!
You're old-fashioned my friend.

But it is why purchase values are not the big thing in transfers, even though the media still get giddy about the value, it's all about wages. Our issue isn't about finding a Club that will pay £7m for Dave, if he's going to leave the buying Club will need to fork out £60k pw to take him off our hands (or he'll have to accept a reduction of salary if he wants to leave to play more).

No, they’re "stupid fucking cunts" for instantly slagging off new signings if they don’t hit the ground running. That's my point. Instant judgment - it is ridiculous and people need to be more patient with new players. End of.

Only took 45 minutes of a pre season friendly for a couple to start fucking slagging off our new GK, for example. "He's not good enough" blah blah blah.

So yes, I 1000000% stand by my post. Thankfully those who do that are in the minority (just very fucking loud).

Do one, Archie. Nobody invited you into this conversation. Your time would be better spent getting a job.

I’m not one of ‘ours’ either as you so put it. I’m a spurs fan, not a Chelsea fan. You don’t get to talk about ‘ours’ unless it’s on shedend

I know I’m your hero but quit stalking me around the forum like a dribbling fanboy. I’m not signing an autograph for you.
Would you sign my boobs ?

Let's just settle on 'decent '

No, because he's more than a 'decent' player. So let's not just settle on 'decent'.

But Maddison is far better than 'decent'. We were crying out for a player like him. (But before you fucking start, I KNOW we're crying out for CB's too).

Entitled to your opinion, of course, but if your opinion of 'Madders' is that he's only a decent signing/player, then we'll have to agree to disagree.

Decent

I wonder whether our new manager wanted to form his own view on the current playing staff, meaning he took every player on our books bar the injured and lloris?

as lloris' position stands, we obviously needed a keeper of which we've signed one (who was, according to the manager; 'the one he wanted')

maybe our new manager looks at our current playing staff as having potential or, maybe after his evaluation, he will report back to the club saying we need to sign x, y and z
It don't work like that. When he started talking to the board about becoming our new HC, that's when he'd have voiced his opinions about our playing staff...and his project, playing style, ambitions. Obviously he can fine-tune this after a handful of practice sessions, but his mind would've been 90% made up before he first got to the training ground.

Listening to Ange’s recent comments about managing upwards and building relationships with the owners built on trust tell me he’s not going to take any shit from levy and if he does we’ll find out all about it because he’ll let us know.

He says he’s happy with transfers so far. But he is putting on pressure to make sure he gets what he wants.
