The club does not act like a big club, well not as regards the footballing side anyway. We gauge a medical to a young centre half from Blackburn, who most football experts believe is a future star of the game. What happens then, his club want a few million more and Levy ,if reports are true, changes his mind as opposed to paying the extra. Some other club will Likely buy him and in 5 years time he could be worth about £50million. I’m not saying this will happen but it does seem indicative of the way Daniel Levy operates. He does not like being beaten, has his own valuation of a player’s value and tends not to waver from that valuation. Football is a business these days but to the fans it is something far more than that. Here must be a happy medium.
