The club does not act like a big club, well not as regards the footballing side anyway. We gauge a medical to a young centre half from Blackburn, who most football experts believe is a future star of the game. What happens then, his club want a few million more and Levy ,if reports are true, changes his mind as opposed to paying the extra. Some other club will Likely buy him and in 5 years time he could be worth about £50million. I’m not saying this will happen but it does seem indicative of the way Daniel Levy operates. He does not like being beaten, has his own valuation of a player’s value and tends not to waver from that valuation. Football is a business these days but to the fans it is something far more than that. Here must be a happy medium.

Don't know if this has been suggested before, but are there any there any takers for dividing this thread up into something like'Transfer News' and 'Transfer Strategy'?

I'm generally only interested in the former, and as others have said its been somewhat painful of late! I think the subject area is proving too big as things are.

We could open the following.

Confirmed transfers
Rumoured transfers
Preferred transfers
Strategic transfers
Dream transfers
and
Non opinionated transfers

It's an idea. But very often there's very little transfer news to talk of.
I think that's when the thread kinda tends to drift more into the realm of transfer strategy.

I like the idea of going to, what could admittedly be a really short thread, that just has news on signings or potential/rumoured signings. I also don't want to say people shouldn't debate transfer strategy as lots clearly enjoy it, but I don't have the time to sort through 10 pages of it everyday to find out there's nothing new.

Don't do Twitter, so I may be forced into checking Talksport and Sky more...

Would work most places but most posters on here (including myself) are too stupid to tell the difference. Would just become two mixed transfer threads very very quickly.

Il Bianconero have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are now leading the race to sign Juventus centre-back Gleison Bremer.

Not sure I believe it but if true, could be why we haven’t finalised VDV yet. Spinning the plates…😬

Deal agreed, medical arranged, owner club then ups the price that had already been agreed, and you expect us to just go along with it.

If it was Levy that fucked around like that, he'd be crucified on here.

Nah.

Doesn't really matter how this thread gets divided, we know that whichever thread has the most traffic it's going to attract the same old posters like flies on shit purely so they can keep spreading their agenda get engagement.
