Oh I agree fully here. A loan to a decent Championship side might well do him the power of good. I'm not totally convinced he won't get some decent minutes for us though. AP is well known to back young players if they are performing, and he'll show faith in them. He runs a meritocracy, so if Devine is good enough he will play.

I think whether he gets enough minutes to play to make a stay worthwhile will be determined by :

1 What is the prognosis for Bentancur's return
2 Can we sell or loan out both Ndombele and Lo Celso

If Bentancur probably out until say Oct/Nov then Devine may get minutes, if he's back earlier possibly not

If either Lo Celso or Ndombele stay they will get minutes, and not enough left for Devine. Sadly

Is putting Kulusevski as an 8 in a midfield three the new 'Play Foyth as a CDM'?

I didn't but it has been confirmed numerous times that they're both going.

Good news. Let's hope they don't then. Missing Son and Bissouma especially for any length of time would be frustrating.

I don't think it's madness to replace Hojbjerg if he leaves. But each to their own.

First of all - it is not.
Being part of midfield trio is nothing unheard of, specially given Kulu specific attributes.

Also it is not about Hjojberg in isolation. We have already Maddison brought in. And we had Sarr who got minimal playing time to begin with, but whose all-around play is not much of a downgrade from PEH. Furthermore - we had cunt of a coach who practically ignored Bissouma as well. So we have existing internal reserves AND less games to play in coming season.
Those are two important variables we should not disregard.

Sure, we can talk about perfecting the CM roaster, but ffs we don't have even acceptable center-backs in the side now... so maybe we can take care of luxury items after fixing biggest issues :D .

Homegrown could be a massive issue in the next year. Probably Kane & Tanganga leaving this summer, Sess & Davies in the next 12 months. I suspect thats playing a big part in Tosin and Gallagher.

Biggest issue will be in Club trained, directly we are back in europe, as we may lack numbers,

With Association trained we currently have Maddison, Forster, Davies and then Spence, Sessegnon and Rodon, so with question marks over the last 3, Forster here for one more season, and Davies similarly, getting on one or two more quality HG players for the first team makes sense if we can

Kane to go to any club abroad will probably blow his chances of becoming the one all time premier league best player ever. His head must be fucked now what to do after being at our club most his life. Its all turning out pretty sad

Totally agree! Why spend money on Gallagher when we have Sarr already. He is just as atheistic, 3 years younger and can probably be coached into the type of player post wants him to be. Also his got decent long range passing. It would just spurs to send him on loan , spend £50M on Gallagher and get lenglet.
The money could’ve used to buy gonckaves from sporting. Pedro Gonçalves - Google Search
For god's sake.

They'll only get minutes if they're performing. AP has form for this with every club he's managed, even internationally.

Everything you've postulated on won't make a blind bit of difference to him. If Devine shows more in training then he'll get minutes because he'll have earned them. If Ndombele gets minutes he'll have earned them. Ditto for every player in the squad.

Ultimately, it will depend on whether Devine is able to show that he's ready to play at the highest level. He appears to have all the talent for it, he may well be showing he has the temperament and physicality for it too. That is what will decide AP, not his age or his perceived place in the pecking order.

I feel his sole reason for wanting to leave us to get winners medals in his collection. Had he won a couple with us I reckon he'd have been a one club man for life.

As a result, I'm not sure that he'd be too bothered about which club he went to, the result will still be the same. What may sway it for him is which he thinks is most likely to win the CL. In recent years, PSG have been just as likely to win the CL as Bayern, possibly even moreso.

I also expect a lot of his decision will be influenced by his Wife and, in fairness, Paris likely has more to offer, in the way of a multi millionaires lifestyle, than Munich does.

I think if he'd won the Euros or the World Cup as captain that would have also been enough to keep him happy.
