Frustrating thing is, if we signed one CB we would all be calm and be more understanding that other players might come later in the window with sales needed first.

Not even asking for a lot.

One CB and we are looking at 3 new players in the 11, say Tapsoba, Maddison, Vicario. Addition of Udogie & Bissouma getting minutes and we are looking quite fresh compared to last season.

They can’t just move the goalposts and potentially deny their player a move they agreed to in the contract. .
Presumably, there is some unclear language in the release clause and the club lawyers will sort it out.

Sometimes you have to step back and look at the bigger picture. If you really believe the player is a talent you suck it up that Blackburn are being prats and do the deal anyway.

Whilst the rhetoric is juvenile and moronic, there are a number of reasons fans have to be unhappy right now:-

- We just finished 8th and missed out on Europe. This is well below our stature and financial status as a club and I think we all agree is unacceptable for us.

- After a really fruitful period, we’ve only attained top 4 once in the last 4 years and have finished out of the top 6 twice

- We haven’t had a manager for a full season since 18/19, a sign of the successive poor managerial choices we’ve made since Poch left.

- Our recent recruitment record has been awful

- We’ve won 1 trophy this century. I appreciate it’s gotten harder with the influx of foreign money, but that’s not good enough for Tottenham

- Ticket prices for fans are extortionate and I read the highest in the country. That doesn’t reflect what we see on the pitch

- After such a disappointing season last year, our transfer activity (in and out) has been pretty uninspiring thus far (I appreciate there are many weeks left in the window).

- One of our greatest ever players wants to leave because the club hasn’t been able to fulfil his ambition.

- Our club has appeared to lack any real strategy for success since Poch left.

Most of the failures noted sit under the remit of Levy, and whilst some of the comments made about him are utterly cringey, so is the way you, Airfixx Airfixx and Get in! Get in! seek to dismiss every single negative, or critique to a minute level to undermine them at least.

I’ve never previously been ENIC or Levy out, and I'm still broadly comfortable with the way we run our club financially.

But surely we can all agree that Levy needs to be completely removed from all football-related decision making now? I know the new structure promotes this, but the fact everyone on the footballing side still reports to him is a concern for me.

I no longer have faith in him to make the footballing decisions needed to push our club in the right direction.

incorrect thread.

Indeed. The fact that Liverpool went out and solved their midfield issues nice and early, leaving them plenty of time to blood in their new players seems to have escaped some people.

Us? Yeah we've done fuck all besides Maddison and the goalie. We knew six months ago that we'd need centre halves. We knew that to get them in early to blood in and get a decent preseason was incredibly important. We knew we'd have a new manager with a brand new style that we'd have to learn very quickly.

But...

we've done nothing... its a shambles and it'll be the reason why we start poorly.

It’s the constant fucking over of managers. It’s what this club does. It will happen to Ange too and I bet it will start with leaks of the players complaining about training and then the manager losing the dressing room. It will happen in about 12 or 18 months time. The pattern has already begun.

2 completely different things.

"I am unhappy with the way the clubs is run"

vs

"You suck Levy's cock"

........See the difference?

What you just listed (and the manner you did so) is fair and reasonable......

Most of the failures noted sit under the remit of Levy, and whilst some of the comments made about him are utterly cringey, so is the way you, Airfixx Airfixx and Get in! Get in! seek to dismiss every single negative, or critique to a minute level to undermine them at least.

BUT fair and reasonable isn't what gets discouraged.

The claim that I just seek to shut down anything vaguely negative is frankly bollocks. I simply have an aversion to the kind of BS (and often blatant lies) that get spewed which serves to crank up the stress, bad feeling and toxicity around the club and often makes it difficult to enjoy the up-sides of supporting the club....

...The predictable-as-hell reaction to the Blackburn post a page or so ago is just a classic example of the kind of crap that I rally against and I sure as fuck won't cease nor apologise for that.

On the flipside; it's been pointed out & proven on many occasion how - even if you are somewhat disgruntled - unless you are angrily vocal enough about ENIC then you run the risk of being subjected to puerile insults and "Levy fallatio" cuntery.

It's pretty bad faith of you to claim neutrality and namecheck myself and a few others, whilst not counterbalancing with such direct criticism of the proponents of the trolling, conspiracy theory and relentless 1-dimensional drum-beaters that readily play the victim when called on their crap (or find themselves democratically binned).

ps. I just had a few days off and you fuckers were still at each other's throats in my absence anyway.

It is a shambles but, if we do lose the first 2/3 games, because we are not set up right.
It will all be worth it, if levy can drag this out and save a couple of quid.
Money first, team second.

Absolutely.

It's something I've never understood about the Levybots. It's almost like battered wife syndrome. After 20odd years of penny pinching and never quite providing the team with what we need to truly succeed they'll always make excuses for his poor management.

Still nevermind...

We've got the skywalk and a go karting track... you'll never sing that!!

The fact that it’s so reasonable and they won’t do it is what is so infuriating.

When Liverpool needed a top CB they spent €84m on Virgil Van Dijk. That was in fucking 2018!!!

They overpaid but they scouted him well, identified him and did what it took to get him!

Why is that such difficult concept for this club to grasp?

100%

It's all so self defeating. Levy not getting the players we need just so he can save a few bob. If we miss out on top 4 due to a point or two, then it will be because of our crap preseason and not having two good centre halves in early. Every season it costs us. So avoidable

Yeah we'll probably get one, but it will be last minute and it certainly won't be our first choice.

He's not the one to fix us so let the chips fall.... His agent will show the player contract to a contract lawyer and the dispute between player & BRFC will get solved.

If in a week or two it transpires the clause is fucked then we decide whether he is worth 5m + 4.5m to us.
