Why would you do that? Because it sounds good? I don't know his familiarity with the American system but his take on its face it seems dismissive...and naive.Agree with O'Keefe here, I read somewhere that the maximum fine is $5M, the old cunt has made a billion dollars since covid FFS...
I thought she was a brass?

Good job that Lewis doesn't own Spurs then.Under Premier League ownership rules, a person is disqualified from owning or acting as a director at a club if “they have a conviction (which is not a Spent Conviction) imposed by a court of the United Kingdom or a competent court of foreign jurisdiction”.

Joe Lewis no longer owns Tottenham, and club will be unaffected by indictment
The British billionaire is due to appear in court after being charged with 16 counts of securities fraud and three counts of conspiracyinews.co.uk
A lot of insider trading is personal . This is passing on stolen information to friends , employees, they have 19 counts so far . You think they’ll stop there? These 19 are probably enough to convict him or they wouldn’t have been so public & it’s not like this is a political case. It’s pure greed. They will continue with investigationsMate, people get convicted of this shit all the time - you rarely, if ever read anything about the people they spoke to at a party one time. It just doesn't happen.
This is serious for Joe Lewis and anyone who knowingly took part. This isn't serious for every single person he has ever met.
Who does then?

Can they prosecute people for acting on information received from insider trading ?
Or is it a case of just interviewing these people to build a case ?

He no longer has anything to do with the club, in truth he never really had, we were just another investment among hundreds, we just happened to have the highest profile...Why would you do that? Because it sounds good? I don't know his familiarity with the American system but his take on its face it seems dismissive...and naive.
Typically, those fines are on a per count basis...JL is up for 19 counts. Sure, he's worth 6+ billion but how are those endeavors going to fare when this news hit? He clearly understood the collateral financial jeopardy when finagling his interest in Spurs.
I just wonder how long JL and DL have known about this and how that has it informed our apparent short-termism.
No, it's because he's in his mid-eighties
Eh ??
No, I didn't give a fuck about Dav going to Russia if he wanted to go.
No, I don't give a fuck if we are owned by Qatari's or Saudi's or anyone else if they are good owners.
Ah so the Wikipedia article that I posted must be wrong then.Eh ??
Enic, which is a limited company, of which THFC are a subsidiary.
Lewis signed over all rights and control to his daughter and it's administered by lawyers.
