We are one of the richest clubs, but we already had a big window, and we have no European football.

This is our net spend over the last 5 years:

23/24: £-107.12m
22/23: £-118.93m (8th)
21/22: £-52.38m (4th)
20/21: £-83.08m (7th)
19/20: £-73.5m (6th)

23/24 is the only season on that list without European football. You're telling me we can just stick another £80m on 23/24 without blinking? We need to start getting some outgoings.
And?

I don't care how much we have spend. A lot of it has been wasted on player we never wanted or never needed. You only have to look at our over bloated squad of spunked up millions to see how previous windows have turned out.

I know we are not ManC that can go out with a blank cheque, but we are also not Rotherham who have to be careful with their money.

There is nothing stopping us of buying both of those CB's at the start of pre-season, giving Ange the time bed them in, go off on pre-season come back and shift the deadwood. The first day after the end of the transfer window our net spend/profit will always be what it is, regardless of when in the window those transfers happen.

Of course, I know that Ange wanted to look at the players, but why the hell have not got rid of player like Lloris and Sanchez, both of whom wanted to go? Just sell them and take a hit and learn not spend money players we don't need or want.

The only thing that is stopping this is Levy, who refuses to take a L on anything, it's all about his ego, playing game, he has to win at all costs, but and it always costs us more than it saves in the long run.

The guy is a blithering idiot. Giving away a player because you didn't know how many players you could loan out.

I want a lump of coal in charge.

Has anything really changed from last season. We got all the deadwood back and pre season has been nothing but farcical. And still no DOF at the club. Oh and the price of tickets has gone up. Really think its time the fans made a stance about this club being the joke of the premier league year in year out

The manager. That's kind of a big one.

Or just not happen.

Indeed, gotta rate Kane for reportedly saying do it before the season starts or not at all.
Last thing we need is for it to still be going on august 31st
Kane could probably run the club better than Levy, as this is what Levy should be saying.

Better yet, if Levy actually showed real ambition and run the Football Club for the Football Club, Kane more than likely wouldn't be wanting to Leave the club in the first place.

I know the reaction to losing Kane would be to go get a striker, but we need CBs more than that. take the Kane money and buy a couple of good ones!

OK..... The €20m pricetag doesn't mean much...... But lets say we double that and then call it pounds and he has a pricetag of £40m........ If we get £100m for Kane there should be nothing standing in the way of:

Orban - 40m
Tapsoba - 50m
VDV - 30m

......That's besides the fact that their ought to be money for CBs even without Kane money.

So to recap,
1- No sporting director yet, because his old club won't let him start.
2- Paratici banned for dodgy dealing.
3- The owner is up on indictment charges for financial wrong doing.
4- We can't bring in two center backs for the manager.
5- Looking likely our best player wants out, because we can't match his ambition.
6- Finally it's all in the hands of Levy to resolve.
What could possibly go wrong or get worse, other than the manager quitting.
I was thinking about this being on the bargain hunt. I reckon we got Ange bcos of Munn and that he prbly would t have the sane demands as say a JN or poch. Plus he was cheaper. Then he wouldn’t start until july 1st so not long for him to evaluate players or identify new ones.
Now JN was sacked in March. If say we went fir him even if he had a break he could have started the process so much earlier before end of season. Then the club could have started shifting players. He would have also identified players to bring in well early. By now we could have had a settled squad. Obviously JN must have made demands which would have meant spending more mo et than club wanted too. Also by now we could have had a DOF in which JN may have recommended. As it is we have no Munn whatever position he holds, now DOF, fraudster still lurking in the background, no new CBs , deadwood not shifted and basically the squad is a mess if Kane leaves. This I reckon all stems from the club basically being cheap skates. Oh yeah we still have mason hanging around as well so some of the deadwood are never going. I just wonder how different things could have been if we went all in with the JN project.

We can afford to buy the CB's without Kane's money.

Lloris, Perisic and Sanchez should have gone by now, all three have openly stated they want to leave the club, and the list of players that Ange doesn't want, drawn up and for sale signs put in the window.

It's a fallacy to say we need to sell Kane to buy CB's. We should be buying these x2 CB's showing Kane we mean business in order to keep him.

Because if we go into next season with the same defence that let in 63 goals last season, how many millions are we going to lose out again if miss another season in Europe?

......No-one keen on the prospect of Kane signing an extension then?

Why would he? We are a zillion miles off where he wants to be in teems of challenging for the title and going far in the CL. If he was considering staying and being part of the Ange revolution he would have already signed the new contract on offer. We have no new defenders, who knows what is happening off the pitch with Lewis.

A fully how many players sign an extension when they enter the last year of their contracts. Must be a tiny percentage because I can't think of many. Once into the last year the intention is clear, it's to run it down and leave on a free. I don't think this club can go through a while season of football with the constant drama and questions of will Harry stay or go.

So, if Harry wants to sign an extension he should do it either before the Brentford game. If he doesn't we still have two weeks to sell him.

Would JN have put up with this being drawn out, I think he was wise not to join us , especially if he had done his homework on our chairman.

Where did I say that?

I said it's broken and gave the spending difference between chavs and Levy as an example.

Nobody wants to see the way the chavs are bending the market with their farm team added into the mix now.

No they don't, but whether you intended it or not your portrayal reads rather differently (much as your Sarr/Udogie comment did).

Polite suggestion..... Perhaps if someone has misunderstood your point (as seems to be your position here twice now); you could seek to clarify it should that scenario arise; rather then debate towards a position that you claim was never yours to start with.

(I say this in good faith... I can't be arsed getting into a cunt off over it.)

Devine is apparently going on loan.

Skipp is a 6.

The cash-strapped point I agree.

We are clearly skint so spend whatever we have on Cbs.

Ok but we still have Ndombele, le celso PEH on the books. Is Scott even ready for the premier league? 20m or whatever it would cost to get him would be foolish in my book as we already are well stocked in that area.
If we sold PEH le celso Ndombele and Devine went on loan we would still have Bissouma Bentancur (when fit) Maddison, Sarr and Skipp who can potentially play the 8 role and is Scott even ready for a top half premier league team?that’s a lot of maybeswhen we are penny pinching on our main area of weakness

You'd have to ask him or at the very least DKP.......

...As reported; it's if the season gets underway and he's enjoying EPL life under Ange. Credible source of not; that's the premise that was cited.
