€50m sounds like BS.
They used up all the 'fair play Levy' posts, for the next decade, when we landed Maddison.Really weird reaction?
we've got the player and saved money. I'd get being annoyed if we missed out but jesus even when he gets deals done he gets stick.
As soon as I learned his story and saw the finishes with both feet, I was sold.

Journalist - Latest Spurs update on Edmond Tapsoba pursuit is not encouraging
According to Charlie Eccleshare, the latest update on Tottenham Hotspur’s attempts to sign Edmond Tapsoba is not an encouraging one, as it appears very little...www.spurs-web.com
Bad news regarding Edmond Tapsoba to Spurs deal
Now, Charlie Eccleshare has offered his insight on the situation on The View From The Lane podcast and unfortunately, what little information the journalist has is not all that promising when it comes to Spurs’ attempts to snare Tapsoba away from Bayer Leverkusen.
He said: “Well, the last I reported on this was on the centre-backs and it was just bad news after bad news, I felt bad putting it out and there was more stuff coming out.
“I had to add in lines about Tapsoba and whatever it is, that is also going to be really hard to do. I was off after the tour in the last week, so maybe it has accelerated, but not as far as I’m aware I’m afraid.”
Spurs Web Opinion
The fact that we have been circling Tapsoba all summer and still appear to be no closer to striking a deal suggests this one could be dead in the water before it’s even begun.
Time is running out and we really cannot start the campaign without at least one new centre-back, so the club had better find an alternative to Tapsoba, and fast.
?
Yes, it can be argued both ways. Klopp solved that Alexander-Arnold & Robertson bombing forward conundum by essentially playing 3 DMs in the centre of midfield. It's only when Thiago arrived that they had a top passer in there, and he stayed deep & put his foot in too.
The challenge is that all those analyses of Ange's Celtic system have 2 wingers staying wide, a CF buzzing around the box, 2 x 8s bombing forwards constantly, and 2 inverted FBs, providing some solididity in the centre.
Neither Porro or Udogie are natural inverted FBs. Their strength is getting forwards & joining in with the attack. For me, Ange has to allow them to do this, or he's wasting their skillset.
Emerson rescued his Spurs career by proving himself a good defensive FB, so he could certainly help form a defensive 3 allowing Udogie to bomb forward on the other flank.
Same principle with Porro getting forward on the right ,and Davies or VDV2 helping to bolster the defence.
We shall see. Perhaps one of the reasons we're rumoured to be in for Kessie is that Ange has decided the solution to the conundrum is to have at least one of the 8s being whatbus-conductor would call a "busy c***".. as well as a mobile, disciplined 6.
I may well be wrong.
But I think we'll ship a load of goals if we regularly start both Porro & Udogie in the same back 4 with licence to get forward at all times.
Yeah dunno mate on the exact price, I mean everything is ridiculously inflated these days and Van de Ven is only 22 with a long contract, so I’d expect higher than his actual ability. What is he worth in your opinion?
Genuine question.
I know nothing about the guy.
I haven't indulged in researching any of the transfer rumours.
I cannot muster up the enthusiasm for another ENIC project.
Obviously I am hoping everything turns out OK with any signings but I can't believe in them until they sign.
Reading your posts about VDV is compounding matters for me.
Interesting how the website has edited/put their angle on that bit as I listened to that podcast yesterday.![]()

I don't believe news papers generally less so with barca, self serving wankers shit on their own players if it serves their purposes. True or notOh, I wouldn’t be surprised if they disappeared him and buried him in the Sagrada Familia, they’re that desperate to get rid of his salary.
However, if they’re actually in advanced talks (however that is defined) then I presume he’s given his consent to such a move.
He said Saka is a wanker, and Ramsdale lives in the woods
Been saying this. For what it’s worth, I don’t think Kessie is what we need. Bissouma covers (or can cover) that hybrid 8 remit well.
I’d rather we actually bought a proper busy cunt to play the 6 remit.
I seem to remember some vague rumours linking us with him last summer or after the world cup. The feeling I got was that he wasn't worth it (at the time).
€50m sounds like BS.
Was from Pedulla which is a fake account.
€40m would be high but probably what it costs these days
also that arteta should stick to putting out cones on the training ground
