I'm at work and I'm struggling to talk, glad I've got the day off to recover after next week's one.

I'm there

Really good atmosphere last night, was singing and swearing next to the away fans in block 9, for some reason there was a hull fan and his kid sat right next to me! He had a long night of me singing loudly in his ears...

First time I've been at a penalty shoot out, fans in the family stand woke up all of a sudden and went ape shit behind the goal every time!

Uncle Brad did well for a old man ... plus, isn't he supposed to have the worst penalty saving record in England?

2 saves and he dived at the correct side of the ball multiple times.
Maybe if he was a little younger, he coulda saved some more.
Let him do plastic surgery. Years wont go away but he'd look fabulous.:ap:

Was in block 36 for the first half, 35 for the second, block J looked lively, I still don't understand why some people feel the need to sing songs at ridiculously fast speeds, not only for 'Oh when the spurs' but noticed it during 'Eriksen sen sen' literally couldn't keep up a point! FUCKING SLOW DOWN!

Been the case for last 5 years now. All very depressing but not as bad as the constant drone of songs about god awful midfielders from 10+ years ago.

Glad all those in J had a quality night, I was down in Block 24….they’re a strange ol’ bunch down there…..a couple of us tried getting them going, but it was a tough crowd. Took until extra-time to really get going (where I was anyway), but there’s was less negative grumblings going on….which I think is the point Villas-Boas was trying to make.
Looking at the team, it was hard going again……a typical Steve Bruce type set up, with the 2 solid banks of 4, they weren’t looking to do anything for the first half, other than cripple our attack, kill the game, in the hope that us fans would start getting on the teams back. Really opened up in the second half, especially after their goal, which helped us getting forward….then it was just down to quality of the final ball and getting it to fall our way.
The Good – Seeing Kaboom put in a powerful 120 minute stint. Lamella seems to be growing in confidence, not sure the pen miss will affect him too much seeing as we won. We won a penalty shootout!!! I’d been there for Nottingham Forest, Liverpool, ‘Boro & Man U…..quality pens as well!!
The Bad – Freidel needs to be put out to pasture, it wasn’t so much the fumble for their 1st, but he was slow to react to most things, was rooted to his line for every cross. Defoe looked unfit, not injured, just unfit….was blowing most of the way through the game And Walker’s brain-farts….could easily have seen red for jumping in, needs to keep his head, happens every game.
Because of all the media shit-storm about our fans, I seemed to take an interest in watching the crowd a bit…….there’s some strange old folk out there. A couple of grumbles I’ve got, maybe it’s just me, maybe I’m the weirdo.
- Some people don’t seem to appreciate that we can’t roll over a team suck as Hull. They’re a Premiership team, we’re not going to go out and beat them 4-0. They are going to make it hard for us to beat them.
- Our style of play has changed under Villas-Boas….and I’m on the verge of going bat shit mental on hearing “It’s not the Tottenham way”….maybe not, but it’s Villas-Boas’ way of playing, get used to it, start understanding it and you might just appreciate it.
- Anything with a camera should be banned from the ground, It was like a fucking I-Phone/Pod/Pad fan-boy get together when the pens started. I had to ask the geezer in front of me to lower his dicking I-Pad so I could see what was going on, I don’t wanna watch the game through a pissing 4” screen. Maybe I just don’t get the need to capture every moment and store it in electronic memory.
- Folks had a little booing session at the end of the 1st period of extra time….we’re quite quickly drowned out by those a bit more supportive…good work!!
- We really do feed off each other though, when the crowd gets going, the whole stadium picks up on it and there really is no better feeling, when the whole stadium was giving McClean the full treatment stepping up for their 1st pen, is there any wonder he duffed it? Us fans can make the difference, I love knowing that!!
- On my way into the ground I noticed a Ticker-Tape massacre outside the entrance to Block J…….brought a little smile to my face.
Looking forward to Sherriff next week even more now, got my tickets in Block 35…….can’t wait.

Think that's real important that now the atmosphere is rocking again we keep it that way, and don't require a telling off from boss man to do what should be automatically natural to us.

:avbnaa:

Fair play whoever started the fast clapping idea when they was taking their penalties. Also well done 1882, better atmosphere where I was in block 33. Bring on the spammers! :avbdamn::parker:

One of my favourite 1882 games for sure.
It's almost certain that at 2-1 down had the atypical, less than positive, Spurs fans been in attendance we would have got on the players back and there would have been a pretty sour atmosphere and I doubt that Kane goal would have come. There is no conclusive evidence for this, just the hopes that what we are doing with 1882 might actually make a change to the way the team play and lift the stadium a bit.

We need to petition for a singing section of the new stadium. I'm already having a slight dread about it becoming like the library and we can't let that happen

My first 1882 experience last night and it's the best Tottenham match I've attended for quite literally aeons. I was near the bottom of J and although there weren't as many of us standing and singing (meaning we were the easy targets for the fucking stewards) we still had a brilliant time.

Sadly, the lad sitting behind me, who was singing with me for fifty minutes, sat down and started slinging insults at the team pretty much non-stop after we conceded. Great night, but still got a long way to go, it seems. COYS!
