Isn't your sister's husband your brother-in law as well as your wife's brother?

Imagine that. A pair of footballers in their early 20s, who have played along side each other for their country, follow each other on social media!
Not that I think it means we're definitely signing him, but it's the timing of it just hapening that some might see as a sign, if it were solely for the reasons you mention the you'd think he'd have been following him already...

It's upto you to decide whom to believe or not

Alasdair Gold has revealed that Tottenham are now distancing themselves from the reports backing them to make a move for Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Edmond Tapsoba.

Tottenham are soon expected to confirm the capture of Micky van de Ven from Wolfsburg (Fabrizio Romano) but Ange Postecoglou seemed to confirm in his press conference on Sunday that the Dutchman will not be the only centre-back arriving through the door this summer (Football. London).

Journalist provides update on Tapsoba pursuit - Tottenham are still interested - Spurs Web - Tottenham Hotspur Football News

Journalist Pete O’Rourke has revealed in his column for Football Insider that Edmond Tapsoba still remains Tottenham’s top central-back target.

Tottenham confirmed the capture of Micky van de Ven on Tuesday, with the 22-year-old arriving in a deal worth £43m including add-ons from Wolfsburg.

Speaking after Spurs’ pre-season friendly against Barcelona, Ange Postecoglou admitted that he is delighted with the Dutchman’s capture, insisting that the defender is a perfect fit for the profile he wanted (Football.London).

Fuck, I would love Eze here.

We could have got him £15M but it was Conte that wasnt keen he needed additions in that area and the deal petered out, it was ours to lose and we didnt act.

Is Eze worth £50M imo FOOOK NO! with the resurgence of Gio addition of Maddison we have other more pressing areas to spunk £50m (if we had that £) like a CB

Edit : it was Jose not Conte

I'm pretty sure our Eze links predate Conte.

It was Poch we had in charge when we were interested when he was at QPR.

Id easily pay 50m for Eze, personally. However, I do think Palace would likely ask for 70+

Yep. Pretty sure it got confirmed Poch didn't want him and it was Pleat pushing it.

Linked with Olise for 15m too when Mourinho was here. And Conte rejected Maddison last year.

Bastards.

The time frame is we scouted Eze under Poch, and considered signing him under Mourinho.

My suspicion is that Mourinho didn't think he'd fit Park The Bus Ball.....

Tottenham favourites to complete £20million transfer for QPR star Eberechi Eze

TOTTENHAM have their eye on Queens Park Rangers star Eberechi Eze.

Top scout Brian Carey saw the midfielder, 21, in dazzling form in their 3-1 win at Preston last Saturday.

And now Spurs are emerging as clear favourites to nab him.

QPR want around £20million and that price tag has already put off Sheffield United and Crystal Palace.

Spurs, who need new blood to boost their squad depth, may tempt the Championship club with a player swap package.

Former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino was keen on signing Eze before his sacking.

But Jose Mourinho is also keen to explore the possibility of bringing in the England Under-21 international.

Eze was born in Greenwich and joined the Millwall academy but was released in 2016, taking on a job at Tesco before earning his break at QPR.

He spent the first half of the 2017-18 season on loan at Wycombe before forcing his way into the Rs' side.

His new deal penned in 2018 ties him down at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium until 2021.
