Yep. Bit of bad blood between Pini and Bayern isn't there, over Lewandowski?
Yeah and not just over Lewandowski, he was Alaba’s agent and was apparently demanding ludicrous wage requests including a large signing bonus for Zahavi himself.

I could write a whole dissertation on Pini, he’s a fascinating character, a true power broker in any sense of the word. He was likely responsible for Roman Abramovich’s Chelsea purchase and a lot of their early success buying players, and has represented almost every big name in the sport at one point or another.

But crucially he is a ruthless dealmaker and opportunist who will negotiate for every last cent and change up terms at the last minute. Bayern’s president called him some very bad names after the Lewa thing iirc. If he’s negotiating with them I guarantee it will not go smoothly and I’m sure it hasn’t.

We shit on Levy for this behavior but at least he always represents the financial interests of Tottenham, he cares only about the club. Zahavi is truly playing the field, weaving a web of intricate games and transfer offers to make himself and his clients as much money as possible.

Borussia Dortmund just loaned a player from Nürnberg who’s named (Jermain) Nischalke. Nischalke translated from German basically means “Never Schalke”. His shirt is selling like crazy and he's already labeled by fans to become a Dortmund legend.
Wonder if there is a player called Neverarsenal

Crucially though, the Lewandowski deal did get done, and he did get Alaba his mega contract. I'm sure he's in for some commission if the Kane deal goes through, so I suspect that he'll make it happen.

"Levy stifles Kane to Bayern deal by hiring Zahavi as representation"

Son is not a top level player. He's a lower level footballer capable of top level moments - how many of those moments is what quantifies how much people look past him being lower level at other stuff, like controlling a ball first time, holding onto a ball under pressure, pressing, tracking, making the simplest of passes at times.
Mbappe isn't great at holding the ball with a defender on his back either

I can agree with that. He's a top level finisher tough and if we can create spaces for him he will certainly delivers top class performances. But I agree he's not good in most of the other basics of the game.

Sure.

but if that is what makes Son not a top player, then it's the same for the best player in the world as well

You can apply exactly the same theory to Mbappe as I did with Son, there are definitely sacrifices for the team if you play Mbappe - so how much good shit does Mbappe do to make the bad shit pay off? Mbappe account definitely balances better - maybe even hits credit most years so far -than Son's especially the years when Son isn't even doing the good shit.

Agree there.

if Son is playing his best, what he does is up there with the best in the world but requires sacrifices elswhere.
