Un-named English club interested in Nuamah.
Here’s hoping it’s us.

Probably chelsea given that they’re interested in every single player alive. Not us

Salah has 15 more PL goals having played 2 less seasons in the league. That's a reasonable margin.
On games played it works out at one season, 30 odd games, but I get your point.

I wasn't really looking to get into the 'who's best, Son or Salah' debate, I was just using him as a better comparison than Kane, as Soon and Salah are both wide forwards.

FWIW, I think Salah is a better goalscorer and all-round player than Son, but the margin between the two, when you take goals scored as the only metric, isn't that large.

Particularly when you consider that Liverpool set up to make their wide forwards their main goal threats, whereas we have always been set up to make Kane ours.

I would’ve sold Son last summer and I’ve been consistent in saying we should’ve shopped him after he won the PL golden boot, could’ve gotten a team like Bayern to spunk their Mané money on him.

Now, obviously that would’ve been insane for many reasons to do, but it was the best financial decision we could’ve made, he is a declining asset and if we could swap him for a younger 1v1 specialist we’d be better off in the long term. However doing that would enrage the fanbase most of all Kane who would likely leave as a result so we can’t do it.

You'd have sold the EPL golden boot winner at his peak for 30m.

Mental claims agwaarn above.

Checked PL official stats and they actually have it as 119 non PK goals for Salah and 102 non PK goals for Son.

Again, Salah's done that in 2 less seasons. Its not a HUGE margin but it is the difference between a great and brilliant goalscoring wide player.

Tbf to Sonny he was behind CE & Dele until 17/18, so wasn't getting regular EPL starts until his 3rd season.

Brentford getting absolutely rinsed after trying to take us for 40m. I have no idea why Woolwich would trigger a non-obligatory buy clause in 2024 when he’s available for free in June. Unless the buy clause is automatically triggered then Brentford appear fuckt.

Edited to add: Being claimed by some tweeters that he extended for a year?

Re-edited to add: Ornstein is confirming the Raya extension.

A lot of talk about Sonny , the way I see it is on his day he is world class and a proper legend in my eyes - however he has always been a streaky player and previous managers have tried to play him into form, hopefully Ange doesn’t do this and he thrives on the competition for his place, that goes for every player now though , no one should be confident of their place unless they are performing !
