We're talking about Kane here .... He plays every possible match he can. He'd literally played 75 mins 48 hours previously. Maddison, Romero, Destiny, etc, they were all left at home.

I actually think this is a smart move by Levy, it's essentially giving Kane roughly 72 hours to make a decision, it adds more pressure on him. It's ALL on him now, whilst before his hands were tied as seemingly no club was able to match the fee we required. If Kane wants to go this is his chance! But I think now he has completely free reigns to make his own decision on his fate, I think this might actually make him think thrice on matters.Mainly because I didn't think Levy would show this sheer stupidity. Three days before our opening game. As I've said, I knew he was stupid, but not this stupid.
This situation is unlike any in our history. Kane has continued playing. Continued training. Reports of him being happy to stay here if no agreement. His camp saying he will be staying if he's here for Brentford etc.
To not just get this done two weeks ago if this was always going to be the outcome is ludicrous. Fuck the money, he cost us fuck all.
Sold a dream then sold short like every other manager in the Levy era. Hes probably looking forwards to his half time sacking in three months time.
Might of not been in the right head space, not just solely for the purpose of negotiationsWe must have all been crazy to think it wasn't done when Kane didn't even feature in the squad against Barcelona.
Why no one made a song and dance about that is bizarre - it feels so obvious now
For the sake of a few million he could have done the sensible thing and got this done 2 months ago so we could have spent the money for the start of the seasonI can’t blame levy here really. What was he supposed to do- accept a shit offer? Seems like he got the best he could and we already have the backup options in the squad, and our B team just dominated Barcelona for the better part of a game. Now if the money doesn’t go to quality young players for a rebuild (Orban, schurrs or tapsoba, etc.), that’s a different story. Kane leaving means massive rebuild this season, so what’s it matter how close to the start of season it is?
Ultimately, though, it is on levy for not building around Kane all these years and alienating him.
I think if he has everbeen told he is staying yes.
Since the Bavarian arrogance seems to have arrived in Malta?!
Agree 100%. The fact is doing it on the eve of the season just fucks over another manager.I'm not saying he should have accepted what they offered then. He should have told them what it will take then. Made it absolutely clear it wasn't going to go on for weeks on end and then leave us short, and miss the opportunity for pre-season.
But he's done it again. I appreciate there is a price for everyone. I don't disagree with selling now (this window)
I just hate that yet again, as he always does, he's dragged it out to the 11th hour.
Probably the best decision for the club, but I honestly dont know what Kane is doing, he=is final best years will be in a league nobody outside Germany gives a fuck about

Poor sod
If there is a fan anywhere that expected anything different though, then they have problems.Agree 100%. The fact is doing it on the eve of the season just fucks over another manager.

Instead it's going to be a chaotic period right up the end of the transfer window with no certainty for the manager or players. We are basically sacking off the first two months of the season for what £10m?
You seem like you'd cower behind your sofa when the rain gets heavier than a drizzle. So Kane leaves three days before the season starts leaving us with a bang average squad, an 11 year old Argentinian up front, a manager who has never managed above pub level before and a chairman that doesn't give a shit.
Yep, we're so fucking done. If we're lucky we could finish lower mid-table but I fully expect us to be involved in a relegation battle.
We're are fucked.
I get we're all upset but don't be such a fucking drama queen
