Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I can’t blame levy here really. What was he supposed to do- accept a shit offer? Seems like he got the best he could and we already have the backup options in the squad, and our B team just dominated Barcelona for the better part of a game. Now if the money doesn’t go to quality young players for a rebuild (Orban, schurrs or tapsoba, etc.), that’s a different story. Kane leaving means massive rebuild this season, so what’s it matter how close to the start of season it is?

Ultimately, though, it is on levy for not building around Kane all these years and alienating him.

Mainly because I didn't think Levy would show this sheer stupidity. Three days before our opening game. As I've said, I knew he was stupid, but not this stupid.

This situation is unlike any in our history. Kane has continued playing. Continued training. Reports of him being happy to stay here if no agreement. His camp saying he will be staying if he's here for Brentford etc.

To not just get this done two weeks ago if this was always going to be the outcome is ludicrous. Fuck the money, he cost us fuck all.
I actually think this is a smart move by Levy, it's essentially giving Kane roughly 72 hours to make a decision, it adds more pressure on him. It's ALL on him now, whilst before his hands were tied as seemingly no club was able to match the fee we required. If Kane wants to go this is his chance! But I think now he has completely free reigns to make his own decision on his fate, I think this might actually make him think thrice on matters.

For the sake of a few million he could have done the sensible thing and got this done 2 months ago so we could have spent the money for the start of the season
Instead it's going to be a chaotic period right up the end of the transfer window with no certainty for the manager or players. We are basically sacking off the first two months of the season for what £10m?

I think if he has everbeen told he is staying yes.

If not, then as a football man, who having spoken to Kane, waa gibeb an idea of what was going om in the bloke's head then who knows.

What we need is to buy a striker in the mould of what Postevoglou wants and the one thing this does, which even you might acknowledge is that we have to now change our focal point and how we play.

For me that's not a bad thing but we will need goals and that is my biggest concern..

What I've learnt is whatever gets reported results in anger from some part of our fan base.

My anger is directed at Bayern. They wanted Kane. They should have paid up sooner instead of playing silly buggers in the press. I also hate that Petticoat guy who I didn't know existed til a few weeks ago!

Levy couldn't win. Kane could have provided clarity. ITKs have proved once again they know fuck all but loads, including many on here, still buy into it.

As long as Spurs have a fee that they're happy with and as long as Ange is ok with it then I'm ok with it.

Hope Kane decides to stay but would prob mean signing a new contract which I don't think he'll do.

Still want us to win a trophy before him though 😁

I'm not saying he should have accepted what they offered then. He should have told them what it will take then. Made it absolutely clear it wasn't going to go on for weeks on end and then leave us short, and miss the opportunity for pre-season.

But he's done it again. I appreciate there is a price for everyone. I don't disagree with selling now (this window)
I just hate that yet again, as he always does, he's dragged it out to the 11th hour.
Agree 100%. The fact is doing it on the eve of the season just fucks over another manager.

So Kane leaves three days before the season starts leaving us with a bang average squad, an 11 year old Argentinian up front, a manager who has never managed above pub level before and a chairman that doesn't give a shit.

Yep, we're so fucking done. If we're lucky we could finish lower mid-table but I fully expect us to be involved in a relegation battle.

We're are fucked.

And to cap it all those Gooner cunts will probably win the league.

100 percent.

And we're not sacking off the first two months......we're fucking the entire season......a good start is crucial in the Premier League.

Even if we sign a star striker on the last day of the transfer window, it's unlikely he's going to hit the ground running.

Poor Ange - been screwed by Levy before a ball has even been kicked.

I'm not quite sure why that dunce Levy can't see that for the sake of a few million, you should get your business done early and get the team settled and raring to go.

Oh yeah..... All he cares about is money and being the perceived winner.

Everyone knows Levy gets screwed over on most transfers but there's this mythical thing in the media that he doesn't.

Ndombele
Soldado
Janssen
Los Celso
Spence
Bergwjyn
Sanchez

The idiot has lost millions on these flops yet he sees squeezing out a couple of extra mil 24 hrs before a new season as some kind of win.

You seem like you'd cower behind your sofa when the rain gets heavier than a drizzle.

This all needed to happen months ago, would have given us time to find a solid replacement or at least give the new manager a chance to know wtf his plans are.

We need to cash in on him now.

Do we really want another season ruined by constant talk of him leaving on a free? Can't be good for the team.
