Club Come here to laugh at the Fascist, Failing Chavs

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

It’s a good question.

At the moment, I suspect Brighton are thrilled that Chelsea are flashing their cash. The majority of PL clubs, from say Villa down, couldn’t really give a fuck which doped up club wins. They write off those games and then look to finish as high up the table as possible and perhaps get a European spot.

It’s only the teams that want to be competitive, at least in terms of CL revenue that care. Liverpool, in the space of 18 months, have gone from a near Quadruple to worrying about getting into the CL,

That said, clubs get very, very fucking angry when you tap up their youth players, as you’re trying to steal the asset before the ‘fee has matured’. But realistically, who at Brighton or Southampton gives a fuck when they’re receiving those sorts of funds. That 60 million for Lavia is pretty much promotion money without having to get promoted.
I don't disagree entirely, but the nature of FFP is such that all clubs have to mind their P's and Q's in that regard, and if Chelsea are making a mockery of those restrictions in some way, I'm sure everyone is annoyed, they've all had to think through compliance with those regulations and operate accordingly.

It's a bit like when Formula 1 teams all start complaining and trying to shut down some novel design innovation that they never imagined would be legal under the rules.

Yes, true.

I suspect Everton might bristle at their behaviour. But then, this is the fundamental problem with FFP. Is the sprit of the rules to enforce competition, sound fiscal practise or remove the risk of administration?

Everton’s recklessness flirted with administration (probably not, but it could have involved people walking away). City, Chavs and Newcastle could spend at ten times their current rate with change found down the back of the sofa.

It’s not that these clubs are playing by different rules. It’s that they’re fundamentally *different* commercial models.

It’s broken.

I agree that there's a muddle there.

But I don't think it should go un-remarked upon that whatever its actual limits or mechanisms, FFP has in fact generated some limit on what teams can spend. At least the appearance of compliance with those rules is directing club's businesses, I think most noticeably in the newfound willingness of elite clubs to sell players who aren't just total deadwood. The opportunity to offload a player at a convenient moment for balancing the books is now taken.

I fully admit I didn't think FFP would be able to do that 5-10 years ago.

And if there is Wall Street-style book cooking financial chicanery (as opposed to City's whole cloth revenue fakery) which would undermine that new power to restrain unlimited spending in the game, I think that's worth fighting against.

Lots of know it alls out there saying that Creepy Ted is “within” the rules and he can keep on keeping on.

Fair enough.

But if the prize money on offer for Chelsea in the coming season, should they get somewhere half decent, is about £160m. How the fucking hell can £1b be seen as a good investment v return ?

Somethings deeply wrong here. Club was saved by the Government, wiped clean of debt and then spent more than the Russian did.

If I had a ball ⚽️ I think I would by now be thinking it’s time to pick it up, Walk home and watch Jossy’s giants…

People are angry because he didn’t turned down Chelsea even though Spurs were looking for a manager and didn’t even phoned him?

So basically, Pochettino should just wait for Spurs fans to tell him which job to take. He said he won’t ever manage Barcelona or Woolwich. That’s good enough for me.

Not that I wish him luck. I hope he fails with Chelsea. But I cannot hate him for taking the fucking job looking at the circumstances.

Add to that even H Redknapp said Poch was sat by his phone waiting for Levy to call?

I still hope he is sacked by Christmas and the chavs get a 20 point deduction!

Yeah mate, putting FFP to one side the business case doesn’t stack up at all. The 1b is layered on top of an absolute shitshow starting position that lost 1b in the prior ten years (conservative and probably far higher) and was propped up by a money laundering bastard warlord.

Is Abramovic still involved somewhere and has just got angry and lumped in loads? It’s beyond mental

Is Chelsea's current crazy spending somehow a warped version of the 'financial backing' Poch once asked Levy for....? (But obviously didn't get!)

He must be like a kid in a sweet shop....

Or a nonce in an 'Adult Shop'!

Tubby little fat man who sold his soul.

Absolute cunt, I hope we give him the reception he deserves at home this season

Disgraceful.

We should have brought him back once Nagelsmann deal was off.

We didn't though so he's free to go wherever he wants.

Such bitterness, it's not as if he walked out on us to join Chelsea is it?

He took us to three consecutive Top 3 finishes and a CL Final.

Show some goddamn respect.

Calm down dear.

The fact is this bloke made a big show of saying he'd rather work on a farm than manage Woolwich. He then said Chelsea were a bigger rival. He then decided to join that club soaked in blood money who started the destruction of the game. He then said they were the best club in England.

You can still treat him like your daddy if you want, but that bloke could have got a job anywhere. He knew what he was doing

He can go shove his lemons up his arsehole as far as I'm concerned.

Yep, you're not bitter at all!

I still like the bloke, was a fantastic manager for us delivering great football and a CL Final. Would've got us over the line if he'd received proper backing from Levy and ENIC but that's a story that's becoming as old as time.

He could've come back to us, Levy passed and got in someone else. Was Pochettino meant to ask us for permission before joining Chelsea?

At what point did I say I wasn't bitter. Of course I'm fucking bitter this guy meant something to us and joined those cunts. Was Campbell supposed to ask permission before joining Woolwich?

Because nobody likes the kid who goes crying to the teacher.

Fuck the chavs, let them dig their own grave. The scousers are fucking hypocrites, they were going to pay 150M for Caicedo and Lavia, they’re just butt-hurt the players didn’t want to go there. Tough shit.

Nothing stopping them spunking the 150M on other players. Bitching about the chavs now is a bit pathetic. FFP isn’t worth the paper it’s written on and that same rule would apply to the scallies as well if they were doing exactly what the chavs are doing.
Liverpool were not buying both, it was one or other. They also haven't spent the money Chelsea have.

I'm all for having a pop at Liverpool but at least keep to the facts.

Maybe I’m on my own here but I see this as the long overdue downfall of Chelsea - they’ve spent fortunes but still don’t look particularly good - loads of holes in that side.

They’ve signed players on absurdly long deals to amortise the transfer fees - they are stuck with these players whether they work out or not and FFP will mean they can’t do this every season.

There is no proof that the Saudi sides will just by their unwanted players - I don’t believe in that conspiracy one bit, if it’s true then why is Lukaku, Cucurella, Ziyech, CHO still there.

I think it is relatively well known now that if they do not qualify for CL football this season then they are re fcuked and will need to sell. They are playing a risky game and I think it will back fire and see them bobbing around between 6th and 10th for a long time. I’m not sure they have a single player I would take, honestly
Lakaku and Ziyech turned down the Saudis.
