Here yet another proof that potential doesn't always materialize itself in young talents. He was also a player who Spurs had been heavily lined with until Milan signed him. Of course, at 22 he's still fairly young but buying potential does not always work out....
If he's sold for £45m, which is probably a fair market value (but obviously the fee is whatever 2 clubs agree), the consequences are Palace double their money on original amount paid which is not a bad deal (arbitrary or not).
