because hes not a leader? are you a simpleton? come back to it in 6 months and see if it was a good choice. he shouldnt even be starting games let alone captain. its another 'spursy' gesture. what sort of leader is scared of heading the ball and getting into duals??? none!

I can assure you that I am not the simpleton in this conversation.

Where is your evidence that Son is not a leader? He has been doing an excellent job as not only the captain of his national team but as the guy who takes all the pressure on as a national icon and ther greatest ever player. Ange Postecoglou knows him pretty well and clearly attests to his leadership capabilities as well.

So, who should we believe? You, the village idiot and keyboard warrior who doesn't know the player personally? Or football expert Ange Postecoglou who knows Son very well and works with him daily?

I mean, only a complete and total fuckwit takes the position you have after literally the first match where the guy has been captain.

Our manager has been managing for over 20 years, to suggest that he doesn't know what a leader is or that he somehow made a mistake with the captaincy you have to be some sort of fucking idiot, sorry.

There are some arrogant fucking know-it-alls on this forum who think they know shit but in reality don’t have the knowledge to even be able to tie their own shoe laces.

Shoelaces who needs that shit in their lives.

It’s why Velcro and slip on shoes were invented. Every man should own at least one pair of smart loafers and Chelsea boots.

Time saving!

Just throwing this in, could be bollox because I know feck all about South Korean football.
The criteria to be captain might be different. Sonny is a national hero and has been in the role for sometime.
Due to their culture his teammates might respect him and accept him automatically.
With us he is a popular choice with the players so I've heard. He is long serving and plays in most games.
Under other managers he wasn't even a vice captain choice at least very often if at all , Davies and Dier and obviously Kane seemed to get the nod.
I don't accept Son is the best option for captain from what I have seen. But yes, he should be given time I guess.

hes got no choice but to play richarlison and son was the safe option. hell realise the son captaincy was a mistake, probably already has.

he made the logical subs the other day. i cant remember the last time a manager done that. so thats a positive sign that hes not going to care about hierarchy and hes going to just do whats right for the team/club.
*did

In fact, my eyes and brain (such as it is) are offended by the entirety of that post, on both a technical and a conceptual level.

Of course he’s not captain material, every time he comes into contact with an opponent he’s on the ground and looks as if he’s going to cry.

Learn what "Spursy" ought to actually mean coming from a purported Spurs fan...... You sound like that cunt Adrian Durham.

Also daveyboy88

Didn't he score a goal with us after continuing a game with a broken arm?

- No Kane
- Two goals (both of which brought us back into the lead and ultimately won us the game.
- Broken arm sustained in the first minute of the game (plays entire game with injury in order to stay on the pitch and be the talisman cos he knew we were reliant upon him)

........Guy's a "selfish" pussy who isn't cut out to lead by example though???

Toxic fucking clowns in our midst.

Villa fan (i.e. no Spurs bias):
@oli_utv: I knew son had done some thing to his arm, it was at the start of the game he was running funny with it. But he still manages to perform a masterclass against us with a broken arm AHAHAHAHAHA

.......But Spurs 'fans' would rather shit on a guy that's scored 200 goals for us and lit up the Lane over and over again. The idea that some of you think you "deserve" something more out of this club is a fucking joke.. It truly is.

yea sons only been about for one match hasnt he. you really are a simpleton if you havent worked him out by now.

i dont need to know him personally ive seen enough of his personality over the years to make judgement. just because the game and world has gone soft doesnt mean you can have pansies as captains. he wont be captain start of next season ill have money on it with you?

i assume youve never actually played football at any sort of competitive level? can you name me someone whos captained another big club that ducks out of the way of headers and is scared to get into duals? ill wait.....

Purely in the interests of full disclosure and proving that you're not a "pansie"; can we send someone over to break your arm and then make you run around for 90minutes getting barged, jostled, tackled to the ground etc.......

........Presumably you've played at enough of a "competitive level" that you wouldn't even flinch and put in a man of the match performance?

:sonhmm:

IMO the main difference between the Premier League and other top European leagues isn't the overall competitiveness in terms of title winners, because as we know, City are a good way ahead of everybody else. But rather, the finances and distribution of wealth means that even smaller or lesser sides can buy quality players and potential match changers.

Take Palace for example. It'd be unlikely that a bottom half of the table side in Italy, Germany or Spain would have a player the level of Zaha, but when you also include Eze and Olise, it's unheard of.
