Joan, I’m not very happy with Levy. But it should be pointed out that, yes, the club footed the bill for the stadium et al, but it also receives the proceeds, which are significant.
Those proceeds don't seem to be allowing us to compete with Europe's elite and challenge for major honours though, do they?...As was promised.
We've actually regressed since we became Anchor Tennants.
Our bitter rivals are outspending and outperforming us
We've just SOLD our best player, we've dropped out of European football completely, and we're still sniffing around the bargain aisles for discounts or knock offs who may or may not improve our starting XI
Meanwhile, the football club announce plans to add a few more storey's to it's latest real estate enterprise.

Shocking state of affairs, really. It stinks of bullshit and deceit.

It really scares me looking at our squad if one or 2 key players get injured. I know we have players to fill positions but it just scares me
The balance between having expensive assets languishing without playing time versus having adequate depth for the inevitable injuries of a PL season is truly just a fucking impossible riddle.

There was not ONE GAME last season when we had exactly three of Kane, Son, Richarlison and Kulusevski fit. Not one.

Just not convinced at all by our forward options. I look at them and try and work out how we score the amount of goals you need for top 4 and don't see it at all.

Maddison helps a bit but aside from him we don't really have players who you can totally rely on to contribute from midfield either.

IMO with the VDV signing CB stopped being the priority. We need a marquee forward.

Porro should be cover / replacement for Kulu not Royal. Not saying we don't need a proper right winger but would rather we spent the funds on a #9
My normal brain take is that it should be Porro as the right winger and Kulu as the right #8.

My galaxy brain take, based on limited learnings of what Ange requires from his inverted fullbacks: could we have Porro RW, Kulu #8, and then Skipp as the nominal right back? Am I wrong looking at that remit as a defensive minded center-mid?

When I match up player abilities with role requirements without biasing myself with position titles, that's what I come up with down our right.

IMO we only significantly improve the goal-tally with mega-upgrade on the wing.

I also think Sonny ends the season as #1 ST.......

We've got two decent centre backs, Romero and VDV. What if one of them gets injured? We need at least one more good one.
