I know that players feel they have more of a chance to break into the Brighton team than they do with Spurs, because Brighton is a smaller club. But that's because we have a shit model. If we had a Brighton model, they would be chomping at the bit to join us knowing there is a pathway and at a bigger team too.
What makes you think that the players Brighton are interested in wouldn't join us? They wanted to get Udogie last season, and he went with us, and now he's a starter.

Yet another new Chelski player - added to the 7 goalkeepers already at the club:
Roberto Sanchez, Lucas Bergström, Marcus Bettinelli, Eddie Beach.
Out on loan: Gabriel Slonina, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Teddy Sharman-Lowe.

Someone told Boehly that a keeper is a like a starting pitcher and now he’s got a 5 man keeper rotation. He’s probably going to bring in a closer next… a shutdown keeper that is subbed in at the 85th minute.

"NO ROOM FOR RACISM"

Already full to the brim at The Bridge, innit.
That train was full too, apparently.

Brighton are essentially just a feeder Club, players know they can go there and play and then get sold onto one of the bigger Clubs, not sure I want that for us

C-grade stepping stone club (not a slur, btw!)..... BVB & RBLeipzig being the A-grade versions with guaranteed CL and an outside stab at a BL title challenge once in a while.

The vast majority of Spurs fans fear the 'Selling Club' mantle required to be B-grade version without guaranteed CL and bobbling around 6th/7th every season.

.........Not that wanting more than 6th/7th isn't understandable.

If we had established Brighton's model during the peak Poch years we would have won a few things by now and wouldn't be perceived as much of a feeder club. But even if we are, we shouldn't have an issue with it as long as we have a model that allows for effective succession planning. And the difference between us and Brighton is that players would stay with us for at least 3-4 years, as opposed to wanting to leave after their first season. These 3-4 years that we have them would allow us to capitalize and win something. And who knows, maybe that would make them want to stay a little longer.

And as far as Brighton is concerned, their model is just starting to yield results. If they successfully continue with it, they may just become a big club themselves and hold on to their players longer.

Right, so everyone's now happy with our forward line.

🤔

They better start scoring then and soon otherwise all the good work being done will be for naught.

I think there is a consensus that we need at least 1 more forward to come in.

I also think Soloman will create chances when he is given the chance too.

Ultimately though, some of the forward we have will be 'bench' players..... we will only every really play with 3 forwards on the pitch so as long as when they are on the pitch they are creating, that is the important thing.

I didn't say that. I just said that some players may look at it that way, especially ones from smaller teams/leagues. When it comes to players coming from bigger teams/leagues, Spurs would likely still be more attractive.

I don’t think there’s a single person on here who’s happy with it. And if someone is, they’re a fuckwit for obvious reasons.

However, I have been beaten into submission by links to £50m Brennan Johnson, £60m Jonathan David, and potentially £30-35m Gift Orban and realized something very poignant: sometimes it’s better to do nothing, to not ludicrously overpay for mediocre players, than to buy big just to make a signing.

But we need to make one though, not sure if you've been on Mars or something and missed this but we sold our best player, who happens to be a world class forward, nearly two weeks back and haven't signed a single player since.

Signing nobody isn't going to improve us, Ange isn't a miracle worker.
