Don't do that to Lloris, he deserves better for a loyal servant over 10 years and club captain.
Ugh would be a real pitty if his Tottenham career ends like this. We shouldnt be pushing him out as he deserves better but at the same time, he must realize he’s not even the backup keeper at this point. He either wants to play or he doesn’t. He’s also been one of the quite, out of the paper types for most of his career (sans motorcycle accident or something) so again, would be a shame if this is how he’s remembered

Quite a good thread this, explains why you can't just 'rip up contracts' that easily.

I think a lot of players are thinking, nice wage, nice city, nice training facilities and EPL team. If they’re not gunning for a better team (ie Kane) they’re probably going to a team a class below. Better to run down the contracts from their stand point. Or it could be an issue with the type of player we’ve signed

I suppose it lets him negotiate with other clubs without us asking for a few million as a fee?

He might want that.
''With the arrival of Guglielmo Vicario this summer, Lloris is no longer the club's first-choice custodian and they have communicated to the veteran goalkeeper that he can leave the club for free this season.''

So he can leave for free anyway and we won't need to pay up his wages.

Plenty of words of wisdom from Trix and Hercules today by all accounts, something might happen, but it also might not 🤣
How sad a life must they lead to crave such attention, sad state of affairs.

Now where is our centre half Danial?
These 2 are fucking weird … it’s been over 10 years they’ve carried this comedy on

They’re definitely adults now and possibly middle aged

It’s all a bit sad that making up bullshit on the internet is so important to them

You know that discussing them and re-posting their content is what keeps them 'alive' yeh?

Statements like the following aren't "general opinion":

"we know that he isn't going to want to sell someone like Ndombele for under £10M (even though I think he's worth far less than that) he won't because we overpaid for him and Levy doesn't want to take a loss."

You're presented unsubstantiated theory as fact.

As sure as you are the Levy is overpricing our deadwood this summer; why is the not a single example of this amongst all the trf tattle this summer?

With the recent exit of Aurier, Sissoko, Toby, Doherty, Rose, Lamela (and prob a few that don't immediately spring to mind) that we're prepared to accept a mere nominal fees if it means clearing the deck (like we also did in when Poch took over). We've also seen us subsidise the wages of the likes of Ndombele to get them out on loan when managers have decided they didn't want them, around.

Meanwhile, for every one of our deadwood we've seen links and interest yet none of them have been said to have gone cold due to us over-pricing (maybe most notably it seems that all of them are also being offered for loan anyway)..... The problem we have is players comfy with their nice wages and EPL status and not motivated to move.... It happens at Chavs, Man U & Chavs too..... Are their owners also of the "tight cunt" reputation too?

I never presented anything as fact lol, the paragraph you bolded is quite literally an opinion based statement, the only thing missing from the end of it is "imo"

Although having looked through our recent transfer history and the money spent on players compared to what we have taken when selling some of those players; I must admit that I am likely showing bias against Levy and am willing to concede that I am wrong because you make a valid point.

I also find your opinion that it is likely players willing to sit and collect a comfortable EPL wage until their contracts run down a more logical conclusion.

Although it still makes me question how United are able to clear out 9 players this window and we can't shift anybody it seems (yet) surely it would be a more logical option at this point to just accept low bids for these players or do we have no power to force them out of the club outside of ripping contracts up?
