This guy has caught the eye of many top teams in europe more than quoted in that article, he is fast and pacy both with and without the ball, tricky and agile and can use both his feet , a real menace. At 17M if correct is a true snip and his scouting by stats are very decent too , yet still a little raw but so is brennan. At 17M also imo he looks better than brennan 100% defo more pacier and trickier also better scoring record..... He can play either wing and down the middle, nice stint in belgium doing well then transitioned to the french league scoring 23 from and the profile we are looking for someone plays across the whole front line
So what have we been doing all summer? Sounds like his better than kulu and Johnson put together. Yet those two will be like £90M in total plus add. On £60 for rich and you 3 attackers costing over £150M yet ptbky wouldn’t get into half epl teams. Then look at their stats. Would you say any are match winners in their own right?

Too late we are happy to buy a player costing over 3 times as much.
I think the fee for Johnson is madness, but the highest level this Georgian fella has ever played at was a year in the top division in Belgium where his team finished second bottom and escaped relegation only via a playoff. He's been a bully on tracks considerably flatter than even the Championship where Johnson dominated.

I recall a previous Georgian fella who'd never played anywhere that proved quite a bargain, but still.

At the moment our forward group is:

An old Perisic
An ageing and past it Son
Richarlison; who couldn't hit a barn door at the moment
Kulusevski; who's just scored his first goal in 27 matches or something
Solomon; who hasn't yet been given a proper go and came in on a free
Gil; injured and who knows if he'll make the step up

That's a pretty mid set of players; I just can't see how you can spend £50m on Brennan Johnson when it's clear that we need some proper quality up there.

Thought Ange likes to play inverted wingers? If he wants to play a right footer there then why not give Son a few minutes out there during games. He also seems reluctant to give Solomon minutes on right as well. Although when he came on last in right he looked good. I don’t get this pace/right footer narrative all of a sudden. We have enough wide me as it is plus we could change formation every now and then depending on the oppo and play 4312. I’d much rather we get a quality CB this window befire prices go up next year. We can find players like Johnson ten a penny some other time. £50M on right does seem like good business. We need a CB and a goal scorer and prbly another quality midfiekder so that we don’t have play skipp as an 8. A role he is totally unsuited to.
I think he likes to have different options. I'm not sure why he hasn't given Solomon minutes yet hes seemed lively when he's played.

The pace/right footer isn't something new,he had options like that at Celtic, also we have Perisic who is very comfortable getting to byline and crossing with his left as opposed to cutting in. Maybe he wants a similar option on right. Most of our wide players favour playing on the left.

I think he sees Sonny as LW or CF, apparently Ange wants Brennan Johnson and he seems to like getting getting high and wide and drilling in low crosses.

I agree 50m is steep but it's HG tax and potential. He does have pace(something we do lack up top) and apparently we are looking more for a wide forward rather than a CF. Although Johnson can play both.

I get your concerns about CB we look extremely light on quality other than Romero and VDV.

I can't really see us spending CM as it's probably our strongest area right now. Unless maybe PEH leaves.

Probably get slaughtered for saying this....newsnow 😀
