You improve the squad by signing first team quality players that displace the starting 11 players to the bench. You don't sign back up players lol. Signing someone no better than Sanchez isn't the one.

Johnson, Gallagher and a CB who can play high line and it’s an ok window considering we lost Kane. Anything less and I think we are selling ourselves short particularly regarding the CB situation.
I can understand selling Kane when he has only 1 year left but that comes at a price and the price is you have to improve the overall squad to compensate. Today is the day for the club to show it wants to compete and back the manager.

Sanchez can cover Romero at RCB but we need VDV cover. Dier will have to play with the reserves, such a weak mentality if he is happy to not play football, puts him in the Ndombele category.
Think about the ‘’leadership group’’ we had. Dier and Lloris happy to stay without football while Kane was desperate to be out the door. That was the leadership and we wonder why we are what we are.
I don't want him starting over either Dorrington or Phillips. He can sit on the bench there.
