Last year Dier was starring in a table topping team. Maybe he is not a perfect fit for Ange but he is an excellent back up along with Davies.
Plus we have Royal capable of playing CB and Dorrington.
Ange said he would not overlook the yoot and Sayers and Paskotski are also long shot candidates.
I think it's about time the club has a clean break with the past, Ange himself has made that point already.

Dier not only is a poor fit for the style of football, he's a poor footballer in general. His conduct during the transfer window also raises some questions. If his goal was to force this scenario, he shouldn't be alllowed to succeed.

Clearing out Sanchez and Ndombele for actual fees is absolutely the right choice for the future and would set us up really nicely going into January.

Of course it’s a risk in terms of depth, but I’m content to ride our luck knowing we’ve got one game a week and this almost guarantees us buying a CB in January.

Also doubly pleased if it’s partially due to Ange liking the looks of Phillips and Dorrington.

New rotation probably: Romero/Phillips/Dorrington and VDV/Davies.

FYI Ange was coach of Australia u20's for 7 years, so he might just know what young players are capable of.

He'll have a couple of options of senior players - Royal, Dier, Davies and maybe a central midfielder as well as E u19 CB's Phillips and Dorrington.

But with the game schedule we have until January its all one game a week until December, so might not be an issue anyway

Fixed your post

Which basically translates as what I just said.

"He mentioned it might(*) happen rather than declaring that it would......"

(*potentially nothing more than speculation on his part.)

......Which is a long way off what you originally said about the club talking about it all summer.
It was an option during the summer.

My opinion is it was the cleanest and fairest way to handle Lloris.

Can you handle that?

Or you want to pick at some more peanuts in the poo?

By the time we have subsidised part of Ndombele's wages to go the net fee receivable won't be that large, but sure be good to get him off the wage bill for good - and the Spurs food bill will go down too.

Slightly reticent on selling Sanchez because Phillips has so little experience but if Ange thinks it is for the best I am ok with it as long as it does not mean Dier will return to the fold.

Apparently, Ange has been really impressed with Phillips in training and entrusts him to be promoted to the first team as back-up to Cuti.

I'm ok with it to be honest. There has to come a point where we move forward.

Yeah, I was initially reluctant to let Sanchez go, perhaps influenced by the opinions on here, but Fulham game brought everything flooding back.

We really lose very little with those two gone. We should have brought a CB in the summer, but if we have to ride our luck, so be it.

Just getting him out of the club for anything is worthwhile and imperative. He’s not going raise his value, I’ve never felt more confident about that in any player we’ve ever had.

Just a case of something > nothing.

As for Dave, he’s a good lad but rightly isn’t in the long term plans and his contract is expecting this year. Take the cash, use it in January.

I've not questioned you "opinion", Mr Indignant..... Just some of the things you're presenting as fact..... Which AGAIN is proving to be rather dubious when challenged.
