Munn will apparently announce the DOF after he starts, roughly went INTL break finishes.

Willing to bet they gave it to Gabbs and he will still "consult" with big Fab now and then.
I assume that it will be Alemany from Barcelona. Who is a accountant and negotiator at his core. Which would allow Paratici to keep working with the club for scouting and player identification.

I thought it was to have someone at board level focused on the football side of things, that sat above the DoF?

Could be wrong though.
That's how I've understood it and that's kind of said in this piece that he'll essentially become the #2 person in the club when brought on board.

Plenty of experience across a wide range of sports, some quite difficult to navigate at the best of times. So he must be fairly thick skinned!

But bringing in a new DoF potentially means Paratici's consultancy could come to an end quickly.

Always a challenge but I'd be tempted to keep Paratici's consultancy going for another 12 months or so, and hope new DoF doesn't want to replace existing staff with his own too quickly as existing guys seem to have done well.

I'm not sure about that. Once someone has Levy's ear then he rarely gets rid of them. Especially if they make or save him money!

Who are the other options then?

Paratici already knows the club and seemingly gets on with Levy so why would you want to put an end to that?

He's being punished for his Juve stint, that has nothing to do with us so why should we penalise ourselves like that?
He put himself out of a job already, he resigned. We need to employ a new one, rather than sneaking in the shadows and consulting Paratici.

He's still working with us though and the ban oficially is for another 2 years
He's done.

Australian Scott Munn had arrived at the club as Chief Football Officer a few weeks earlier, but his background is more in commercial than football matters. He was previously Chief Executive Officer of Melbourne City FC and Executive Officer of City Football Group China. This still leaves the Sporting Director position vacant.

When asked about a possible appointment, Postecoglou said: “I think it will [happen soon], that's definitely the club's plan. It's fair to say that going into the (summer transfer window), there was no point in rushing that appointment, particularly with a new manager in.

“I’m not going to appoint the person, I’m certainly not going to get involved in that process. The club have already got a clear idea of the way I work and the way I think and the way I want my teams to play. Whoever that person is … it’s my role then to get him to understand me and see the game through my eyes.

“What I will have a say in is whoever it may be that they get to know me and understand me.
