I know Brentford had at least another clear cut chance which they missed. I can't go back poring over 4 games, the first of which was 6 weeks ago to highlight specific chances. However, it's fair to say we're all heaping praise on Vicario for his great saves.

You also highlighted another area of weakness btw, set pieces. We've left a number of players free on headers already.

We did completely snuff out United after a good first half hour, but the other three definitely had resurgent periods. Though I suppose against Burnley it was more a case of them giving it their all for a bit of pride and dignity while we lost interest in the game after the 4th.
It changed after Perisic and PEH came on, we wasn't the same after that and only got worse when Skipp and Royale came on.

So far we've done a poor job of it. Vicario has made multiple great saves per games, for me that's indicative of a poor defensive setup, especially given the quality of the opposition.

Stick Lloris in there and our 4 goals in 4 games could easily have been six or eight. Yes, I get that we're playing a risky high line (I think EVERYONE who follows Spurs gets that), but the risk shouldn't develop into clear goal scoring chances so often.

Again, we can't judge last season as whole when trying to talk about football tactics, in the second half of the season went to complete shit, there was no tactics at all.
Got a new defence really. New keeper, new centreback, new left back and really Porro is newish at right back. They might need more time to really gel. They are all playing well though but need to be a complete unit nit good individual performances, it’ll come.

People are riding the Postecoglou and good result high, and refusing to see things clearly as a result. People also generally take any criticism as insult to themselves or the team, which makes it even harder for them to see what you're getting at.

I agree, we are indeed quite shaky at the back still. So far we've had the good fortune of Romero, VDV, Vicario making excellent individual interventions, but there have also been so so many heart-in-mouth moments that on another day could go very differently.

Yes Brentford had a bullshit pen, but you can't write off a deflected, they happen if an opposition is allowed to attack and get shots off. Our two goals against United wouldn't count if we dismiss the Brentford goal.

We could have very well lost to Brentford, as they had at least one more golden chance they wasted. United had multiple great chances too, like when Fernandes missed an open header after completed catching our defence out.
All those woulda coulda shoulda matches, where you say that if so and so had taken their chances we might have lost, we created several other good openings which, equally, had we taken, we could have won by more.

Conceding chances is more of an issue if you're not creating yourself. In the first few games, we have the second best xG in the league. We're 9th for xG against. These stats obviously aren't perfect, but they give some basic indication that we're in a decent place considering that this is a young, almost entirely new defense playing in a system that everybody is still leaning.

So... far from the finished article defensively, but on the right track seems about right.

I keep telling myself to reign in the excitement, the amazing exposure we are getting, Ange's pressers, Madders start, Biss and Sarr thriving, etc etc etc.

It's still raw and we will stumble, but fuck it... I'm all in and loving it.

The medias" big, not-so-big " Club is making waves. And it's all down to unleashing the players we have, uniting the fan base like I haven't seen in years, and playing the game in overdrive.

COYS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't find fault in a single thing he says.
That’s a great interview, tells you a lot about the good man Ange is and shows that he has a very wise and level head on his shoulders, something that was clearly lacking in our last two managers!
