Manager Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Damn it, posting on my phone and messed up quoting someone. Quickly, they were commenting on the boards negative reaction to Anges appointment, I'm about to board a 16 hour flight, I will catch up in a few hours.

Here is the thing from my point of view, we had a chairman who, most of us think is not looking to take the club to the next level appoint a manager who most of us knew very little about, this opens the floodgates on a fan forum to do a few things.

Break out the torches and pitchforks based on the feelings towards Levy.

Break out the same torches and pitchforks based on hiring a no name manager that nobody knows anything about.

Break out the computer, spend a few hours diving down the internet black hole, read the Celtic forums to gauge their fans reactions, see if there is anything on YouTube, try to figure out if this is Levy being a genius or being well, Levy.

Swing back here, see the forum having a meltdown over the appointment, dare to contradict the general consensus, go along with it or stay silent.

Really can't blame anyone for taking any of the positions, at least this is just an internet forum and written words.

Okay, sorry that turned into a long rambling post, feel free to call me names.

Game before he got 3, tough crowd
Off the back of a season where he looked completely shot, a pre-season where he still looked completely shot and league games where he looked completely shot. And on Saturday, he tried but failed. So really, 1 game in a while where he really made a massive impact. Am i wrong to still be concerned? I don't think so.

I do not mind rotation, if that is what Ange decides to implement on a regular basis.

Maybe Ange is going to do what not many other coaches in world football do and make a captain a non-guaranteed starter?

Blatant “I’m an airline steward post”

My biggest problem with Son being captain is there will be a lot of games like Saturdays, where he isn't affecting the game much and gets taken off.
Ange will sub any player he needs to, in order to win the game, captain included, so you're worrying needlessly about Sonny. He is a senior squad member and the embodiment of everything Ange wants our players to be, so he's the ideal captain. Try to be a bit more positive.

I’m from Melbourne, Australia. He used to play and coach my team here, South Melbourne. The excitement he brings is infectious and emotional. You guys are very lucky to have him. I think I’m a Spurs fan now.
1990s NSL was the best football era in Australia I reckon, you guys with Ange coaching and Goran Lozanovski smashing free kicks are some of the best memories I have of that time along with early Viduka playing for the Knights, so good 👍

He played with a hernia injury for practically the whole season mate

Posts from this thread, selected from May, when the Ange rumours started. I wonder how many of these posters want to stick with the positions they held a few weeks ago.

Re-reading the first 7 pages of the thread, Lumiere Lumiere and Larry David Larry David come out of it very well.

We gave an opinion, nowt wrong with that

Sorry we're not all Mystic Meg!

Glad we've made a good start, Ange is doing really well at present and long may it continue.

That okay with you?

Never hurts to revise opinions when facts prove us to be wrong. If none of us ever changed our opinions ever then by god there'd be some cunt offs on this forum...

Oh wait!

:harrylol:

I don't disagree with anything in your post.

On TFC and Last Word on Spurs they were discussing how the late comeback is a feature of Postecoglou at Celtic too, compelled to share this from his first league title with Brisbane.

2-0 down in extra time, then a goal in the 117th and then 120th minute to take it to penalties, made better by the fact that they scored a late winner against the same opponent in the semi-final a fortnight earlier. Ironically the equaliser was a corner similar to our winner against Sheffield while the goal to make it 2-1 was a similar finish to Kulusevski's.

Then the year later they did it again in the Grand Final, winning 2-1 with a goal in the 83rd then 95th minute
