Thought it was going too smoothly for us.
No longer a 90 minute player, but only needs seconds to put in a killer pass or a pin-point corner to change a game.
I hope he recovers enough to play again, if that is what he wants. But unfortunately, it seems highly unlikely that he will do so for us.
Such a shame. :(
 
Even if he isn't a starter,his experience is vital and his contributions this season have been excellent.
However he still can be utilised in the dressing room.
Its an awful injury at the age he is at and he will be missed.
 
It's a definite blow. While he wasn't looking like being a starter, he seemed to fit well into the system we were playing and making a difference as an impact sub. So he'll be missed, for sure. And with his contract running out in the summer it's perhaps unlikely we'll see him in a shirt for us again.
 
Gutted for him (and us), was a very good option to have off the bench, with a proven quality.

Hopefully, his influence and experience can still be drawn upon around the squad, assuming he feels he wants to.
 
Always said I fancy Gill as a left winger, maybe he gets a go….. won’t have the same GA but lovely footballer that can take players on and play a role…. The pre assist wide master
 
Hope this is not a bad omen for the weekend. He will want to play in the European Championship in the summer and that will mean he needs playing time with us. I doubt he will ever make anything but a sub appearance and his contract is up in the summer.
