Ah, so poor luck. I was so freaking happy to see his substitute appearances and near-perfect crosses. Him coming on against parked busses felt like such a lethal weapon.

And now this...

Well, anyway... I am happy he played for us. And ~15 assists from ~3000 minutes is pretty phenomenal to be honest. Hope he gets fit and can say his farewell to big-big football in Euro 2024. Pretty sure he wont play for us again.

But those who suggest that this will open door for Gil are making me chuckle.
Yea, Perisic got injured after 6 games of the season. That is 6 more games than Gil lasted before being equally available...

This will mean more playing time for Solomon, as first our attacking players ranking currently goes as follows - Madders, Son, Kulu, Richie, Johnson, Solomon ... and only then with some significant gap in it there comes Gil together with Sess and Veliz.
But for 4 places available and 1 game in a week, 7th pick in the line gets next to no minutes in all likelyhood, we have to pick options that are best for the team and for results. Hope I am wrong, but I don't think Gil will ever make it for Spurs.

Shame. As a forward he was a very useful substitute. Terrible wing back but one hell of a delivery on him.

We will lose points across the season because of this - games where he would’ve come on and whipped a perfect ball in for an equaliser or winner.

Glad I made you chuckle!

So far since Gil’s come in, we’ve only played defensive football under managers who quite clearly don’t want to give youth a chance.

I’m not saying that Gil will ever come good here, because I don’t know.

However, he’s not had an opportunity so far under Ange in an attacking system to show whether he’s good enough as he’s been injured.

If he gets a chance when’s he’s fit and shows he’s good enough, great. If he still looks like a mismatch, then we cut our losses and move on.

It’s not up to you or me whether we think he’s good enough, Ange will make that decision.

Just saw this headline:
Ange Postecoglou has perfect Ivan Perisic replacement at Tottenham after huge injury blow

They're talking about Sess.

Ange will be a miracle worker if he gets him playing.

Sad loss. Reliable option coming off the bench.

Whipped a lovely cross in for Richy on Saturday. Plenty of pace which I thought had been lacking from the majority of balls played into the box earlier in the game.
