Match Luton (A) Saturday 7th October - 12:30

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Very confident for this game. Might not be a 4 or 5-0 but we will get through it comfortably. Also fancy Veliz to come on and score. Maybe even throw him in as it’s better to do it now when we are flying. More of a game for his combative style from what I’ve saw of him because there won’t be much space in behind. Need our lads to shoot more as this is the type of game that requires that. I’ll go for 2-0.

Now we see how we handle a low block team for 90 minutes.

We did look a bit bereft of ideas against the Scousers with 9.

An early goal is vital I feel, force them to come out and can then get a nice comfortable 3-0 win hopefully.

Current 6 game form table has us top.
16points from 6.
5 wins from 6 matches.

Luton 17th 4 points from 6. Won away to an Everton team that can’t score for toffee ;)

As an indicator to how fucked the league currently is from the teams we have played and their last 6 outings - Brentford, United, Burnley, Bournemouth and Sheffield United (and will include luton) have in total won 5 games between them all. And United won 2 of them!

That’s over 30+ football matches played. Absolutely awful.

No excuses really. We should have the quality overall. If players are fit we just need to get the job done.

And finally ……Lads……. it’s Luton.

I feel like this applies every game at the moment, but this is another chance to show we've changed.

How many times do we get an unexpected win against a top 2 or 3 team and then follow it up with an even more unexpected loss to relegation fodder like this? It's like the stars will align whether we like it or not.

Come on Spurs, be ruthless and get the job done. Especially with City Vs Woolwich and Brighton Vs Liverpool meaning all the teams around us face dropping points.
Even Villa are away in a "derby" Vs Wolves who just beat City..

This is one of those games where it is all about our attitude. If we come out all guns blazing then they simply can’t live with us - even with a low block we will still find space to exploit. Come out with the right attitude and we win this comfortably, treat it like a domestic cup match and we’re fucked

West Ham vs Newcastle as well - we can put some space between ourselves and a few sides this weekend.

This is our chance to do what Woolwich did last year, build a title challenge out of nothing more than early season momentum

I bet everyone, us and rivals saw our opening 10 games and assumed we'd never get 7 points from United, Arse and Pool. Probably none tbh given our horrendous form last season.
Here we are, after 7 games, unbeaten with 3 "winnable" fixtures next.

I have always believed a good start is the reason most teams go on to win the title. City are often the exception but confidence, getting used to winning, not having to deal with the fall out of losses is what gets teams going.

Woolwich may have got over the line last season if they realised they were in a title race and threw the Ropey league early.

We have no wingers of note now that Perisic is injured. It's really hurting us against low-block teams.

I think we will have to sacrifice the half spaces and instruct Porro/Udogie to overlap more often to get in behind.

I haven't watched much of Luton but how threatening are they on the counter? Do they have rapid forwards?

So many people are saying to start Donley and Veliz.

No.

Let’s not be cocky and disrespect Luton, start full strength, and then if we have the game under control towards the end and are a few goals ahead, then bring the young lads on

I’m only up for Veliz starting if sonny isn’t fit. Solomon on the left as we need a bit of guile and someone who can twist and turn to open them. Richy will just bustle about in straight lines and he needs space as he’s not tidy enough with his touch.

A potential positive to come out of that game? We may have spent a bit more time this week than usual working on how to break down teams with equally little ambition as the Mickey Mousers???

Can people stop fucking suggesting rotation options.

It's one game a week we're currently playing, and to be quite frank, FUCK the international break. Don't care if our players are knackered going to those games.

Strongest line up possible in every game, and then use subs appropriately.

No Surrender. No Mercy!

WE NEVER STOP.
