If soldado turns out that to be a flop I'll put my hand up and acknowledge it, however 4 goals in 10 starts plus his movement/ attitude I don't see him being another morientes or bent for that matter.
We r all spurs supporters here and I would of thought like the rest of us you believe and support soldado...in 5-10 years critisise or praise all u want, u may even b called a prophet, but I hope not....

There have been three players I have always wanted to sign for Spurs who I thought were realistic but still long shots; Robbie Keane when he signed for Coventry from Wolves I was quite surprised. Lloris, and Soldado....neither of the aforementioned players started life out of the blocks at The Lane - and it would be harsh to consider Soldado as anything other than a work in progress. That we, as a team, aren't playing particularly well has only heightened Soldado's lack of goals (from open play) but it would be very harsh to judge him on the past two or three months alone. Suarez, who can't stop scoring, had a pretty meagre return in his first season at Liverpool, and whilst he is a player who makes things happen, it still stands to reason that great players need a period of time to adjust, and just a little bit of service, too.
2 words, price tag. People are always going to compare him to Schevchenko just because of it unfortunately. If he had cost us 1mil we would be singing his praises for scoring 5 goals so far.

Bizarre.
Soldado is not a miracle worker. In the barcodes match Townsend and Siggy combined didn't pass him the ball ONCE. Everytime them 2 cut in on their stronger foot they get a rush of blood an pop off a shot. Townsend has become pathetically one dimensional and Siggy is the invisible man most of the time. So with incompetence like that flankn ya, you'd be hard pressed to score more than his 6 goals in the 12 matches he's played for us which incidentally is a pretty fuckn good return overall whether half them were penos or not. Lastly since when has the ability to score all your penos with a ruthless efficiency become a bad thing or something we look down upon? We've struggled to score penos consistently for years.
Still don't understand why continuing to like our most successful manager of the past decade and a half is such a dirty thing
