Vaguely on topic but Barca/Real Madrid are either spending 100M on a player or hours away from insolvency.

I have no idea what sort of fuckery goes on there.
Barca have been somewhat curtailed in this aspect as of late, but surely RM can still buy from whoever they want, and they always want the best Latino players. I wouldn’t be surprised if Barca came in with an 80-100m offer at some point either, but it’s less likely.

RM get a lot of free money from the Spanish government via land grants and tax help (from what i’ve heard). Barca I’m not aware of anything specific in that regard but it’s probably happening too.

Wow thanks. You are sooo smart. Its like math right? You know the correct answer? :ange-lol:

So, you are American.

American English doesn't exist as a language. It's a colloquial adaptation. We may as well have a setting in Microsoft Word for "Hip Hop Slang" and have everyone figure out how to spell things to fit with that.

In the English language, we say Maths.

We also say pavement instead of sidewalk because we are able to remember words that have a specific application without naming them after how they are used.

Real Madrid have plenty of cash. Actually, by their standards, they haven’t really splashed a lot of money in recent years. I can only think of 2 big cash signings since the pandemic (Jude and Tchouameni). Their other incoming players have arrived on a free transfer or for reasonable fees.

They’re saving to pay Mbappe a huge wage / sign in bonus next summer.

They’re thin at CB. They may go after Romero. They’d have enough to buy him for a big fee.

So when I say Math its wrong eh? which is not. Its just used differently in different countries. You can't understand that? Probably ignorant.

Yes, Americans call it sidewalk...... Australians, Irish, Indians call them footpaths and your point?

Feeling smart?

Show us the quotes.........

Burden of proof when one is making accusations. That's how life works....

I mean; I could accuse you of being smart, but due to a distinct lack of evidence no-one would believe me.
You want me to go through all your troll ass posts to show you?

You must be dumber than I thought. Just live in your own world buddy. Its better for you that way.

Didn't RM and Barcelona receive millions from illegal tax breaks from the Spanish gov but got caught and has to pay it back?

I don 't know the full details but that's what I read if I remember correctly.
No.

I've explained it before and I don't have time now to do so again but it's to do with the tax regime of four clubs - RM, FCB, Athletic Bilbao and Osasuna who were allowed to maintain "Club" status (taxed at a lower rate) while the rest had to become limited companies due to their perilous financial state and piss-poor internal management.

It was all done perfectly legally under Spanish law and had nothing to do with favouritism (no one would ever grant Osasuna any political favours), merely the fact that at that time the four in question had their fiscal houses in order.

fair enough- and glad for the clarification from a local source. either way- they’ve definitely got the funds for buying from the prem if they want to.
