fair enough- and glad for the clarification from a local source. either way- they’ve definitely got the funds for buying from the prem if they want to.
Aren’t Barcelona still owe other clubs around €200m in transfer fees? If we are to sell anyone to them, I’d want the actual cash in a bag on my desk before I even booked the player on their Ryanair flight.

We should always hardball these cunt galactico clubs..... If not us then who? Always top whack, always cash, always on our terms..... Never allow ourselves to get fobbed off with players we weren't already actively interested in buying.

We owe it to ourselves AND the broader football ecosystem.

The English language is a bastard language of German, French, Latin and whatever else anyway and is changing all the time. Also, American English departed from old world English with the advent of Websters dictionary.

Real Madrid have plenty of cash. Actually, by their standards, they haven’t really splashed a lot of money in recent years. I can only think of 2 big cash signings since the pandemic (Jude and Tchouameni). Their other incoming players have arrived on a free transfer or for reasonable fees.

They’re saving to pay Mbappe a huge wage / sign in bonus next summer.

They’re thin at CB. They may go after Romero. They’d have enough to buy him for a big fee.
They've sort of moved away from their old method of buying almost exclusively superstars, and are instead focusing on buying highly rated youngsters. Just look at their future midfield. Valverde was bought as a teenager and came up through the youth ranks. Then you had Tchouameni, Camavinga and Jude along with Vini and Rodrygo. All bought before they've turned 25.

They've still spent good money but its not your stereotypical Galacticos.
