Match Palace v Spurs - 27th Oct - 8PM

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Any sort of win is a statement. To go 5 points in front just sends a message out that we aren’t going away.
Don’t care how we do it but get it done.
Can’t wait for Friday now.

Yup.

Which is why talk of resting and saving players for other games is lunacy.

We have a 10 day gap after this and CP is worth just as many points as the next game.

The only question for me is how and when we get Johnson on the field. He's our big summer signing.... We need to get him up and running so that he can properly contribute any time Richy & Kulu dip and ideally that is before we get to the AV & MC games.

Kulu isn't going anywhere. He's a ball magnet in possession. An outlet we can rely on to hold the ball and move us forward.

By the end of the season his highlight package of having two players round him, 'megging one and pushing forward into space will be hours long!

From up my way Purley. I don’t live too far. All the best to you mate and sorry to hear about your wife ❤️

As for the game, what an opportunity to go 5 points clear and ramp the pressure up on the others. No Eze or Olise is massive for us. A real chance to grab the 3 points.
Years ago few of us were having a drink in The Foxley Hatch(?) and another mate came in and needed a seat. Old boy was sitting at a table on his own but he was in the toilet. I took a stool from his table.
He came back from the toilet and went berserk.
I asked if he was expecting anybody to join him. He said no but that's not the point. He then tried to unseat me.
Then a Miss Prim and Proper in the company sank a bottle of wine in about 20 minutes and was effing and blinding like a trooper.
Very funny evening.

You saw the difference in Deki last night when Madders and Sonny went off. Good players play better with good players. When we brought on Skipp,Lo Celso and Royal it affected our better players as they don’t make the same angles, are not as sharp, don’t pass the ball quick enough or forward.
Royal looked like a competition winner last night compared to Udogie. Davies when he comes on is a far better option for us to replace Udogie.

Yup, 114 possible points in a season, and the vast majority of those will be earned agains the likes of Palace, not City or Liverpool.

Even if we have a mixed result against the 5/6 other good teams, hoovering up the points agains the rest would be enough to make us genuine title contenders.

There is absolutely nothing to fear from Chelsea.

Vicario is as solid as any other keeper in the league. He has been phenomenal.

Our back 4 is looking quality. Romero and van de Ven IS the best centre back pairing in the league. It's not just their individual ability, which is right up there, but it's the fact that Romero can get up close his man, put extra pressure on him whilst knowing that van de Ven has the pace to mop up if needed.

Udogie in current form is the best LB in the league, it isn't even close and Porro has come on leaps and bounds, whilst he isn't 100% yet, his turnaround has been very impressive.

Bissouma, Maddison, Sarr (with Bentancur to come in) is as good as any midfield 3 in the league right now.

Son is Son. He's just pure class. Moving him central plays to his strengths and he looks nearly back to his best. There are question marks over Kulusevski and Richarlison in their current form, but they're both good players who will always get chances in this system.

Do we really give a fuck about Chelsea in our back yard? Not a fucking chance. We're going to smash the cunts.

Wonder if Ange brings Biss back in but not for PEH, instead for Sarr.

Playing Biss higher up the pitch should keep him out of those yellow card situations.
Agree with the first part, but IMO that's just misusing two players. PEH much much better higher up the pitch facing the opposition, and able to press and quickly get it to Son/Maddison, exactly like he did against against Fulham.

He he a big problem deeper because he is very poor when pressed, can't turn with the ball etc. Whereas Biss almost uniquely good at that.
