He's our player but they agreed for him tom stay there for now.

Looks like we move him in J`nuary
I know he's our player in terms of the deal being locked in, but we can't sign him until he's 18 can we?

So essentially he's a Hajduk player, with a future transfer agreed (rather than a Tottenham player remaining at Hajduk on loan), until that point, and so I find it quite good of them to be loaning him out for our benefit, when they would be better off keeping hold of him and utilising him themselves.

That said, I guess part of the agreement is that we can dictate the how he is handled over the next couple of years, also whatever the Visa requirements are mean they need to ensure he is able to get one come that time or they don't get their fee.

Would probably prefer Portugal over Holland. They know how to develop a CB in Portugal.

Maybe we could send him to Wolfsburg
Would favour Holland, due to weather adaptation, Croatia lovely and warm as is Portugal, get him used to colder Winter/general climate… and, ensure he gets plenty of Vit D.

Germany similar to Holland. Would avoid Italy, Spain and Portugal personally (noticed Sanchez is getting good reviews in Turkey, he’s an extreme example IMO of this dynamic = always felt we might not be guiding his via nutritionist/medics to take super high dose D, with his seeming ability hampered by balance and brain fog issues).

Think the fee is locked in, the concern is he needs to get a Visa or we can’t register him in the U21’s immediately and he won’t end up HG.

Football Chap Football Chap how does it work if he turns 18 (16 presently, turns 17 February 24th) ? So 2025/6/7 he needs registering as U21 I think.

Guess that means January loan can be more of a gamble (ie. If a bigger club wants him but he might not immediately play, we’ve got another 12/18months play to ensure he’s considered Visa worthy?

Yeah fee would be locked in with a pre-agreement deal. Essentially the deal should go through on the first day of the 2025 summer transfer window. There won't be any problems with Visas when he joins because there's an exemption now that allows Prem clubs to sign up to 4 over-18 overseas players that don't meet Visa requirements so don't have to worry about that when choosing who to loan to. Once he joins he would be on the u21 list for Prem and take up a non-locally trained spot for UEFA but he could become both home-grown for Prem and club-trained for UEFA

He’d be with us on the 1st of January if it wasn’t for brexit…

He'll only be 17 or so.

Eredevisie might be a good loan. Would probably preach playing football out from the back. Anywhere that allows him to play 90 every week but a step up from Croatian league would be beneficial really.

Jude was 16 when he was playing for Birmingham. Getting this lad playing for a team like Dortmund at 17 would be absolutely perfect development.

Or we could go the Modric route and send him to the Bosnian league for a year. Modric has said that put manners in him and really helped him become the tough player he was/is

Locked in, yes, but given that sort of fee (for a 16 year old) and given Levy involved, I would suspect a fair bit of the fee is performance-related. Even if it's not all that big, big a percentage of the total fee, it would be significant money for them. So they have every reason to aid his development.
