Everyone is pointing out out problems but no one is offering solutions which speaks volumes...

What?

Maybe you are not trying to see them?

I give you solution.
Put Deki to no 10 role to play behind CF and arrive into box in 2nd wave.
Push Porro to RW position, bring on Royal behind him to have pace and crossing ability on the wing.
Say to players that when they receive ball in the box, they are allowed maximum 3 touches and max 1,5 seconds, no standing and jogging around.
Give an aim that majority of the attacks have to end in shots.

Super fucking easy.
In short - MORE DIRECTNESS AND AGGRESSION, for longer - see above.

Apologies, didn't see your post amongst the constant stream of tears.

First of all - against West Ham Deki was absolutely on the right. Just look at all those moments where he... did nothing with the ball in promising position, or failed to go past West Ham player.

Second of all - WHAT RUNS? If side defends like West Ham did, YOU HAVE NO RUNNING ROOM. That is the whole point. Son to CF was successful experiment born from idealistic play from Burnley and cemented by our good wing-play against Woolwich and Liverpool where we played in early balls and Son got to receiving end. But if we play against low block (so no runs) and we never play in early balls (so no chance to beat your marker close to goal) then he is ineffective. It blows my mind how Ange does not see that.
Well like I said he isn't the best against low blocks which is why I prefer Richarlison against those sides and Son on the left so he can at least cut in and take some shots.

I'm sure Ange sees it as well its just as you said after his performance against Burnley he was undroppable. He's the best finisher in the league so it isn't surprising that he starts and we were winning then so he probably didn't need to see the need to change it at the time.

Imagine supporting West Ham and watching that every week?
To expect it to be perfect every week and win all the time is delusional.
You’re the one delusional here, “bbbb but imagine watching that shit football bruv”. No one is expecting wins all the time, stfu.

One point in the last 5 games means we’ve won less points than the likes of Sheff Utd, Luton or Burnley. Don’t give a turd if we play good football (we don’t lately) but no end results, been there, done that. The fact is we haven’t played very good teams either (except City of course, who’re far from what they’ve shown last season), in these 5 games.

Meh it doesn't even need this

We are where we are now because we've been hit by a load a key injuries, Arteta's project never hit anywhere the heights that we hit in our first 3 months, we know how good we are and what we can achieve with this team.
Everyone gets injuries, our problem is the squad is paper thin.
Thanks to your best mate Dr Evil.

For the Wolves game with the 2 suspensions and the raft of injuries you could justifiably blame injuries.

Last night we were missing VDV, Bentancur and Madders. Plus a bunch of fringe players.

This is the whole reason you have a squad. Where are the centre backs? Where is the replacement for Kane?

You don't have a leg to stand on

Ange said from day one we would have to suffer for periods to get where we want to be

This is one of those periods

Hold strong and support him and this man can take us to the places we want to be
I have taken on board the advice from those who suggest we need to be patient. My main doubt or concern was that Posto hasn't really done it at the top level.
It's been tough recently with injuries and being honest some questionable signings up top.
What would a manager like Klopp, Pep, Emery etc do if they were our manager?
Would they have extracted more points?
Is it even about points solely ? Posto says he puts a side out to win football matches so I guess it must be. I'm not sure it's possible to develop a football vision and a team and expect to win every game.

You speak in so much riddles it honestly gives me a headache trying to work out what your point is?

You're not saying anything apart from the obvious, everyone knew the squad is paper thin and this was the season where we will have bumps as we began our transition.

The manager keeps repeating that we've pretty much done all we could in the Summer and that he's happy with the squad, you want a replacement for Kane, well the manager got his replacement in Johnson so he was backed, just because he wasn't the player you wanted or wasn't placated doesn't mean he wasn't backed.

You're just gonna have to grow up and suck it up, we are where we are and we're probably in the best position we could be in if you compare where we were in May, that's the reality of the situation, we just got to deal with it until the next transfer window(s)

You should learn to take the emotions out of your posts sometimes mate, much better when you don't cry like a spoilt kid.

How the fuck is BJ a replacement for Harry Kane?

That's all I had to read in your nonsense of a post

Have you seen the state of some of the teams around us? City are only 3 points above us, Newcastle have an injury crisis and just lost 3-0, Man Utd are in complete disarray and are level with us and Brighton went winless for 2 months and are 2 points behind us. The only team we're competing with who are doing well is Villa, we'll see how long that will last.

I'm not worried at all.
Well said. A bit of sanity👏
We were never going to win the league but we are very capable of competing for top 5.

He isn't a spurs fan mate, nobody with a will to win or passion for the club, could be so lacking in fight/fire very strange

We lose a few more games then hit panic button and sack Ange then we have nowhere to go. As others have said Arteta has been through worse and so did Klopp in his first season.

Last night if the players had been ruthless in front of goal we win. It’s not like we are playing bad football, we have individual errors in front of goal and individual errors in defence due to having players who to be blunt aren’t good enough.

We either accept our results will be up and down all season then make a proper effort in Jan and the summer to build a decent squad capable of playing this football or we might as well call it quits.

Ange massively overachieved at the start of the season. We lost Kane the man who if he was still here would have probably got us 3-4 wins in our last games given the chances we missed in those games. At the same time our best performing attacking player Maddison and best performing defensive player VDV are injured and our best all round footballer Bentancur is also injured.

If Ange has a decent squad and then can’t perform fair enough but we can all see how we play and how our player limitations are holding us back big time. Fix the player limitations then judge the manager and if we can’t fix the player limitations then we know Levy/board /club are what is holding us back not the manager.

You made some excellent points.

But I think in some occasions the dog is buried somewhere else.
West Ham game, I do not believe was "tactics battle" or that "Moyes outplayed him".

West Ham game we lost totally on our own. The issue yesterday was that we did not had what it takes to kill the game off.
We attacked and played with high intensivity, had territorial advantage but the game was simply being decided on goalscoring.

With game staying 0:1, West Ham players ALWAYS had that belief, that just one single moment is needed to get something out of it.
If we actually would have rattled them with all the possession and territorial advantage, their mentality would have been broken.
Goals change games, if first half ends 3:0, it's done. They would know that they are on mission to save their faces and nothing more.

But we... just pushed ball upfield and controlled it (and did it well), but never went for the kill.
And that has to change.

Whilst I agree that 3-0 at HT ends the game, the fact that West Ham were still in it gave Moyse the opportunity to change things and his tactical changes worked.

Coufal was very tight to Johnson first half. As opposed to Emerson drifting forward more and allowing Kulusevski room. WH changed this second half doubling up on Kulu. West Ham also played into the spaces between our CB’s and FB’s more second half - something that’s been really noticeable live as opposed to on TV.

Moyse probably delivered a huge bollocking at HT and I suspect a parting message that they could get something out of the game if they pressured us. They came out 2nd half with a noticeably upped tempo compared with our noticeably lax one.

Tbh the warning signs were there before the Chelsea debacle where we enjoyed the rub of the green more often than not.

The inflexibility is a worry because Angeball has been sussed out. In particular, if we don’t score a hatful of chances in the first half when we are flying, teams will exploit our predictability second half - Villa, West Ham and to some extent Wolves are cases in point.

One last point is the Harry Kane sized elephant in the room. He’d have scored at least a dozen goals in this system by now and we’d conceivably be top or thereabouts. The lack of a finisher in Ange’s system is killing us

4 losses in 5 games including surrendering multiple leads at home to teams who, even with injuries, don’t have better players. It’s not acceptable and it is on the coach.

The good bit is - Ange will take responsibility and accept that unlike the people on here who think he’s immune from any blame.

I loved what he said post-match and I hope he’s even more cutting behind closed doors about the changes needed to make us succeed. Club has a total loser mentality at its core.

Newcastle is now an absolute must win football match.

Angeball hasn't been "sussed out", it's just football, it's the nature of the game. When you are on top, you have to kill the game. Otherwise the opponent can always come back.

This is the challenge for Ange but he has already articulated the problem in his post-match comments. Dominating the match should mean scoring 5 goals, not just having 80% of the ball. As a coach he has get that meekness out of the players and make them more aggressive. Tactically his system put us in the perfect position to destroy West Ham in the first half but the players weren't brave enough to do it.

But where are we sitting you fucking balloon? Comparing us to Luton,Burnley and Sheff Utd sums your post up. We’ve also not lost to city,Liverpool,Woolwich and Man Utd!!

No one is expecting wins all the time but some can’t wait to question a manager who’s turned the whole club around in a short space of time. In every game this season apart from City and maybe wolves we have deserved to win but for a lack of ruthlessness in both boxes we’ve come up short in some games. A blind man can see that will change in the next two windows when the squad has better quality in it.
