Also what was your expectation of us at the start of the season, did you expect top 4? title challenge? etc...
Earlier than that I said Europe for sure and CL was real posibility. As we have a team of attacking minded players and Conti went full negative stiffle and never once played to the teams strengths.
We only added Vic, VdV and Madders to the team, BJ was out with injuries... The rest of the squad Porro, Udogie (Back from loan), Romero, Bissouma, Kulu, Son, Richie, Sarr were already here as players for us.
The thing that really changed was the attitude from a toxic negative shit bomb to positive, lets win all attacking play style.
Amazing that when the dust settles the supposedly low IQ people are always right about Levy inevitably doing a Levy and you are wrong isn't it?

No doubt. I think most chairman would want their team in the Champions League and sadly Martin Jol was never going to take us there. We would all have loved him to do so.
I think Ange is a better manager than both Jol and Pochettino though.
You're looking at positions in isolation. I don't care that we scraped 4th because Woolwich were rubbish under Emery and fluked our way to a Champions League final. We were fucking woeful under Pochettino for 9+ months, managed to win ONE away game within that time and were averaging pretty much 1 point per game for that entire time.
Come back to me when Ange is on a 1 point per game average over 28 game period and looking terrible like we were under Pochettino or when we look like we have no chance of breaking the glass ceiling like we did under Jol and I'll agree that he isn't safe.

I loved Jol, his flirting with Newcastle was his undoing I think.
Jol never had a squad of player that was capable of getting into the CL, it was amazing how well he did with the players he had.
I wouldn't expect a man of Ange's character to say anything less. Whether he believes it or not.
